My partner Map and I have been to many continents, visiting wonderful places like Livingston Montana, Kaikoura New Zealand and Arniston South Africa. To be honest, we've never been to a place like Cliff Lodge, De Kelders, for two reasons. Warm hospitality and excellent service in combination with a breath taking lodge.

Even better than we had hoped - a magical setting, a fabulous room, warm hospitality, great advice on local restaurants etc, terrific breakfasts. We are sad to leave and after 4 nights we could still stay longer.

Had a great time. Excellent accomodaions. We were with another couple - Mike and Joanne Powers and were treated great! Of course we went on the shark cage diving excursion, which was not scary but the water was very cold - 48 degrees F. The staff and owners are sooooo nice and very helpful. We would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone that is interested in a great place, excellent place and wonderful hosts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is very rare that there is absolutely nothing about our accommodation and service that we think could have been improved; in fact, Cliff Lodge is only the second such accommodation we can recall in our many years of travelling all over the world. This is paradise: the location, the hospitality, the whales playing in front of the balcony, the perfect cappuccino, the nice recommendations that Gill and Gideon are giving, the lovely and friendly service of Nico and the sunshine. (Not to forget the walk with the dogs). We have already booked for next year!!!
