Upon our arrival at the Brookside House, we received a warm welcome from our hosts. The surroundings were lovely and our hosts were very gracious. The room was splendidly decorated and everything was well organised. We loved the little bottle of sherry. A very helpful tool was the folder with the menu's from all the surrounding restaurants and coffee shops. We found a menu we liked and took a moonlight stroll to the restaurant. In the morning, after having a great rest and being woken by a "piet-my-vrou" singing praises to the lovely mountains, we had breakfast and continued our journey, refreshed and happy. Our stay was marvellous and we will undoubtedly head back there soon! |

The rooms were very neat & tidy. The underfloor heating & electric blankets were a great help seeing that it can get so cold in Clarens. Thanks for a great stay! Will definitely see again in the future! |

Please do yourself a favour. If you ever visit Clarens in South Africa (wellworth it in its own right) make sure to stay at Brookeside House. Maryna the hostess has established an exquisite four star guest house. It is spotlessly clean, luxurious and is the epitomy of attention to detail.
Thank you Maryna - Brookeside has quickly become our favourite retreat. Stunning! and just a few streps from the centre of town. |

Review by: Mrs Fichardt, Johannesburg (stayed: August 2007)
We had the most magic time in Clarens. The guest house was clean neat and worth every cent we paid. Lovely view and very quite, so we had a lot of rest which we needed.
I will stay there again.
Thank you
