Breakfast
We offer either B&B or self catering accommodation. The daily B&B rate includes breakfast served between 07h00 and 09h00. This comprises a tasty continental-health breakfast of croissants/scones, cereals/yoghurt, jams, cheese, cold meats, fresh fruit, and fruit juices OR a full English breakfast. This can either be enjoyed in the room or on the enclosed veranda. In the village of Hilton and surrounding areas there is a large variety of restaurants and other eateries which are detailed in an information file in each Unit.
Location
Situated in the tranquil village of Hilton we are neighbours of St. Anne's Diocesan College, adjacent to their grounds with a view of their wetland. We are also in close proximity to Hilton College and Cowan House; while being less than 10 km from many of Pietermaritzburg’s other private schools, such as Cordwalles Preparatory School and The Wykeham Collegiate.
We are one km from the N3 freeway and 10 km from Pietermaritzburg, one of the five most beautiful cities in South Africa. It is home to the international Comrades Marathon and national and international cycling events such as the UCI Mountain MTB World Cup as well as the Dusi Canoe Marathon.
Also within 10 km is Midmar Dam, home of the Midmar Mile, the Nelson Mandela Capture Site Monument, as well as Howick Falls, and the southern reaches of the Midlands Meander, where many wedding venues, craft establishments and Michaelhouse are to be found. Travelling inland for a mere hour-and-a-half you will reach the Drakensburg Mountains. In the opposite direction, and an hour away, is Durban and its surrounding coastline and beaches.
