Situated in the quieter residential suburb of Clarens, Blackberry But and Ben is wooden and face brick cottage to suit guests looking for a secluded and restful break away. It is situated at the rear of a residential home, completely separate and private, in what is known amongst locals as the ‘swartland’ of Clarens, and is surrounded by the Rooiberg hills and mountains, Titanic Rock in the north and Horeb mountain in the east being the most significant features. A covered patio with accompanying built in braai area and outdoor furniture, in a beautifully landscaped garden welcomes each guest.

Self Catering Accommodation


The interior of the cottage is warmly panelled in knotty pine. The cottage sleeps four adults on two separate bedrooms. The main bedroom which is north facing for warmth and light in winter, is tastefully decorated and has a queen sized bed. A second bedroom has twin beds and also had a north facing window for warmth and light. A small third bed can be made up in the lounge for an extra child if need be. All towels, and linen is provided.

Living area
A dining room, and small lounge completes the living area of the cottage. The lounge is heated by a jet master fireplace, and also has a TV with SABC and ‘E’ TV channels. There is also a radio and CD player.

Kitchen and Bathroom
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with coffee and tea making facilities, microwave oven, ample pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses, toaster, kettle, electric frying pan, and fridge / freezer.

The cottage has a full bathroom, with a shower over the bath, toilet and basin.

Parking
Guests arriving at the cottage have their own private entrance to the cottage as well as secure, covered, lock up parking.

Activities and Attractions


Visitors to Clarens have a variety of activities to choose from and they include, white water rafting, horse riding, quad biking, hiking, tennis, squash, trout fishing, art courses, golf, abseiling, mountain trails and nature reserves which also have some bushman paintings.

Enquiries for all these activities can be made at the local information centres in Clarens. At present there are two superettes, ATMs, and most other convenience facilities such as a small pharmacy, bakery, butchery, two service stations and liquor stores. Restaurants and coffee houses abound, and interesting gift and interior decorating shops ensure delightful shopping.
