Bergvallei is ideally situated on the R28 (highway between Krugersdorp and Pretoria) in the Muldersdrift area - we are only 30 short minutes from Johannesburg and Pretoria, but with the surrounding tranquility it could be hours away.

Accommodation

Bergvallei has its own character and rustic atmosphere with its Stellenbosch-type green and white buildings surrounded by rose gardens, fountains and roman statues. The warm and inviting atmosphere will ensure that you and your guests will relax and enjoy your stay at Bergvallei.

The family rooms are very spacious. Some of the rooms also have the double doors opening onto a verandah. The bridal rooms are romantically furnished (one of the rooms are furnished with antiques). The majority of our rooms face towards the great expanses of lawn that leads down to the natural vegetation below at the picturesque Crocodile river which meanders through the bottom of the property.

Our 19 bedroom accommodation consists of the following
• 14 x rooms with 2 x double beds in the same room
• 2 x rooms with 1 x double bed each
• 2 x bridal rooms
• 1 x luxury double room

All the rooms have on-suite bathrooms with coffee and tea facilities (rusks and cookies also provided).

Weddings

Bergvallei is also a wedding and function venue. Our Main Hall boasts four large fireplaces, which also makes it the perfect setting for a romantic and cozy winter wedding. We have the following facilities:

• Main Hall (seats 100 to 300 guests)
• Garden Venue (This venue is covered and seats 60 to 80 guests)

Chapels
• Open Chapel (does have a roof and seats from 60 to 120 guests)
• Conventional Chapel (seats 60 to 250 guests)

We also offer the following services

• “Linen and Things” also operate from Bervallei and takes care of the rental of overlays, saches, chaircovers, fairylights, underplates etc.
• Wedding cakes
• In house DJ
• In house photographer

Conference Facilities

The conference venue seats 24 delegates. Services include lunch options, tea options, whiteboard, overhead projector, flipchart, air-conditioning, pens and books, water and mints.

Location

Bergvallei is situated very central to the following stadiums: Ellis Park Stadium and Soccer City - Johannesburg, Loftus Versfeld Stadium - Pretoria, and within 1.5hr drive from Royal Bafokeng Stadium - Rustenburg. This makes us the ideal accommodation for the 2010 Fifa World cup.

Lanseria Airport is 15 minutes drive from Bergvallei, and OR Tambo (Johannesburg International Airport) is only 1 hour’s drive from Bergvallei. Bergvallei is also situated within the greater World Heritage site - the Cradle of Humankind (Maropeng), with other attractions as the Rhino and Lion Park, Silverstar Casino and various Malls within a very close range.
