Beaumont House is a boutique guest lodge positioned in the heart of Upper Claremont, part of Cape Town’s exclusive and leafy suburb. It offers the discerning visitor an indulgent and sumptuous experience.

The house, boasting beautiful architecture, classic antiques, combined with fresh, light contemporary designs, uniquely combines the glamour of a penthouse apartment with the spacious, understated elegance of a fine country home. Comprising five individual suites ranging in size from 28 sq. m. (Luxury suites) up to 45 sq. m. (Premier suites), they are all furnished to the same exceptionally high standards. In addition, Premier suites have their own private balcony or terrace.

To complement the contemporary interiors, the gardens and pool have been designed and landscaped to ensure that the time you spend outside delivers the same indulgent and enjoyable experience as inside your suite. Relax on the extensive pool deck, surrounded by calming water features, spectacular when lit at night. Owner run and managed to ensure a truly personal experience.

Accommodation


Naturally, all the rooms have air-conditioning, underfloor heating, satellite TV, DVD player, bar fridge, safe, bath with separate walk-in shower and free wi-fi internet access. But there is much more that Beaumont House offers in terms of creating a restful ambience in your personal space.

The Mountain Suite:
The Mountain Suite, on the first floor of the main house directly faces Table Mountain, as its name suggest. The French doors reveal an extensive private balcony on which you can relax with table and chairs on one side and sunloungers on the other. The extra length king-size bed stands proud on the gleaming original parquet floor, surrounded by elegant furniture. The suite has twin basins, separate bath and walk-in shower. An adjoining double bedroom is available, on request, to create a two bedroomed suite.

The Bay Suite:
The Bay Suite is on the first floor at the opposite end of the main house. The views from the palm fringed windows are also stunning but with a different aspect towards False Bay and the Kalk Bay mountains. A peaceful night’s rest is assured in the extra length King size bed/twin beds, to be awoken only by the sound of the songbirds in the morning light. The bathroom comprises single basin with separate bath and walk-in shower.

The Beaumont Suite:
The Beaumont Suite is situated on the ground floor of the main house. It boasts its own original marble fireplace and luxurious king-size bed. The bathroom has two extra large basins, double walk in shower and separate large bath.

The Pool Suite and Garden Suite:
The Pool and Garden Suites are accessed by their own pathway, bordered by the stunning gardens, directly from the secure parking area at the front of the house. Both suites open onto the large freshwater swimming pool, surrounded by shady trees and the tinkling of water features. Each suite has its own private covered patio with table and chairs where guests can take breakfast or enjoy a quiet drink. Furnished with a combination of antiques and contemporary furniture, each of the suites exudes a sense of calm and serenity. The bathroom boasts two extra large basins, double walk-in shower and separate large bath. Choose from extra length King size beds or twin beds.

Guest House Facilities


Overlooking the pool and sundecks is the Dining Room, where guests can linger and enjoy a sumptious breakfast, served on the finest bone china. Adjacent to the Dining Room is the Bar. Relax on the sofas, choose your music or perhaps read a book from the extensive library. Maybe leaf through the guide books and reference works on all that is available to the visitor to Cape Town. From late afternoon onwards you can recount the day’s experiences over a drink from the honesty bar. With wall to wall windows drawn back, enjoy the restful ambience created by the floodlit gardens.

Location & Attractions


Beaumont House is ideally positioned for all the major attractions of Cape Town. The city centre, V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain cable car, Cape Town International Convention Centre and airport are all less than 15 minutes away. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the international rugby and cricket stadiums at Newlands, the Constantia wine route, a state of the art gym and the designer shops of Cavendish Mall are all on the doorstep. There are more than a dozen golf courses within 30 minutes drive and many more beyond. The famous sandy beaches of Clifton, Camps Bay, Llandudno and Hout Bay are a mere 20 minute drive away.
