Beach Rose Cottage is situated on the South Coast, an hour’s drive from Durban. It is the ideal holiday venue for 2 families, sleeping 11 people. Beach Rose Cottage is fully equipped with all the little luxuries that make it a home-from-home.AccommodationThe cottage has a beautiful sea view from the deck and it is not uncommon to see dolphins and whales frolicking in the waves below. The house is decorated with seaside chic and finished to ensure your every comfort from percale linen to masses of magazines to while away many relaxing hours either snuggled up on a sofa or tanning by the pool. Beach Rose Cottage has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with 2 showers and a bath. One bedroom is en-suite and slightly separate although attached to the main house. The other three bedrooms are at the other end of the house and the living area is in the middle. FacilitiesThe property is secure with an electric fence, fully burglar barred and has an alarm system linked up to the local security company. A swimming pool with a net keeps the children entertained for hours as does the games room downstairs, which has a ping pong and pool table. Johannes, our caretaker lives on the property and is responsible for the pool and exterior and Thokoso our maid will take care of all household duties, including washing up and servicing of the bedrooms so that your time away from home can be utterly relaxing! There is a laundromat 5km away, should your stay be a long one. Attractions and ActivitiesThe beach is a mere 2 minute walk away while the main beach is a 2 minute drive. The swimming at main beach is outstanding and has attendant lifeguards. The beach close to the cottage has rock pools and a shallow tidal pool to keep little children amused as the swimming in this area is very safe. Umzumbe is a quaint village, comprising primarily beach cottages. The unspoilt nature of the area lends an air of relaxation to your holiday, but excellent shopping malls and antique shops can be found as you wind your way further down the South Coast. Golfers will enjoy the myriad of outstanding courses in the nearby areas; Selbourne, Scottburgh, Port Shepstone, and the Wild Coast are all in the proximity. And finally, no holiday would be complete without a visit to the amazing Waffle House in Ramsgate! ACCREDITATIONS
