About Ballots Tree House
Ballots Tree House is a charming self catering wooden cabin nestled between Milkwood trees on the Ballots Bay hillside. Located right near the pebble beach and the Meul River in Ballots Nature Reserve, this is the perfect retreat for nature lovers. Ballots Nature Reserve is rich with wildlife, birds and fynbos. The delightfully secluded home accommodates up to four adults and two children.
En route to Ballots Bay, you will find yourself surrounded by nature and lush vegetation. You will pass through gates at the wooden guard hut - if you continue straight, Ballots Tree House at the end of the road at the bay - but all you are likely to see from the road is the steep wooden staircase leading you to this beautiful treasure.
When you reach the cabin, you will be in awe of the secluded deck with amazing views of the ocean and river. This is the place for braai’s, sun downers or simply relaxing with a book with only the sounds of nature around you.
Self Catering Accommodation
The inside of the unique home is beautifully furnished with an open plan lounge, dining room and fully equipped kitchen.
The lower level comfortably accommodates four adults and two children with a main bedroom (double bed), en-suite toilet and a luxurious corner bath perfect for honeymooners. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third small bedroom has a two bunk beds ideal for children.
You can also enjoy a braai / barbeque at the communal stone braai area – hopefully with your catch of the day.
Attractions and Activities
If you are the adventurous type, there are plenty of walks and hikes within Ballots Nature Reserve including a forest walk and also a steep hike down to a rock pool. The pebble beach is sheltered by steep cliffs on either side where you could cast a line into the ocean.
