Accommodation

Alta Bay, previously a 5-star boutique hotel has recently been converted into a 4-star guest house with three large luxury units. Each unit has a separate entrance, fully equipped kitchen (or kitchenette), and a private terrace / deck. The Loft (70 m²) and the Bay Suite (42 m²) offer gorgeous vistas of the sea and city while the Garden Room (28 m²) below has the benefit of the shaded lush garden.

The Loft has a bedroom on the mezzanine floor, a bathroom with bath & shower and a sleeper couch which can accommodate a 3rd adult or two children. A continental breakfast (served in the room or terrace) is available on request at an extra charge.

All three luxurious units were designed in a contemporary style with bespoke furniture handcrafted locally. Each room has its own private outdoor terrace / garden and offers extra-length king/twin beds, air-con, flat screen TV’s with incorporated DVD/CD player, satellite TV, electronic safes and wireless PC connection.

Alta Bay is not just accommodation for a night of sleep during your stay in Cape Town. It is a serene sanctuary of sun-drenched spaciousness, where you can enjoy the relaxed and laid back atmosphere throughout the day.

Breakfast

We offer a full Continental breakfast which consists of the following: coffee, tea, juices, bread (two types), croissants (three types available), cheeses (two types), fruits, cereals, milk, yogurts and butter.

Breakfast is served in the units or alternatively on terrace. There is an additional charge for breakfast should you choose to order it.

Extra information: plunge pool, Children from age 6 are welcome. Please also mention that we have a baby cot for babies up to 1 year. Smoking inside the rooms is prohibited. French, German, Dutch and Spanish is spoken. Alta Bay is home to two cats. They don’t welcome other pets.
