As you follow along the rose-lined lane toward the Manor House, embrace the splendour of Mother Nature on your left. You will be afforded a front row seat in the vineyard amphitheatre formed by the lush green hills towering over the breathtakingly beautiful Banhoek Valley located just outside Stellenbosch. Alluvia Wine Estate is also the home of the Brugman family. At Alluvia, the Brugmans have established a luxury retreat consisting of seven ultra premium cottages, each providing luxury accommodation in a private location with spectacular views over the farm and surrounding wine estates. Visitors are warmly received into this special place of peace and tranquillity. Perched above the Banhoek Valley, Alluvia seems to be untouched by the world below - a special sanctuary. Accommodation is fully serviced and meals can be taken at the Le Pommier Restaurant, Zorgvliet Manor House & Tokara Restaurant located a few minutes walk away along a paved pathway through the vineyards, for the less energetic, golf carts are provided. AccommodationPerched on the edge of the hill are Oakleaf, Hutton and Clovelly - ideally close to accommodate larger groups travelling together, but still totally private from one another. Clovelly and Hutton have sweeping views over the newly built dam teeming with birdlife. This dam is ideal for lazy afternoon picnics or fly-fishing and is for the exclusive use of our guests. Oakleaf Oakleaf overlooks an inviting swimming pool and consists of three standard double rooms, with wheelchair access. Hutton Hutton has one bedroom with two 3/4 beds and a cosy lounge with a meticulously restored fireplace. Clovelly Clovelly is a magnificent honeymoon suite. A bedroom with four poster bed, Jacuzzi bath overlooking the vineyards and twin shower, as well as an intimate lounge with fireplace add to an experience to remember for a lifetime. Tukulu Looking up to the breathtaking Simonsberg Mountain, Tukulu is the ultimate in country living. Large double doors throw open onto the vineyard to let in sunshine and fragrant valley air. The edge of the mirror-like surface of the pool flows into the picture of the vineyards around it as if it were painted with one brushstroke. This cottage consists of 3 bedrooms plus an en-suite family unit. Avalon Avalon has a private patio with its own private garden, a living room, kitchen, dining area, a seperate bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a family room with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. DiningLe Pommier Restaurant located a few minutes walk away along a paved pathway through the vineyards. (For the less energetic, golf carts are provided). Le Pommier is an established landmark in the Banhoek Valley with huge centuries old oak trees shedding their shadows over the outdoor dining areas. You might even catch a glimpse of the two resident Giant Eagle owls nesting in their boughs. The restaurant has built its reputation on friendly service and fine food. Guests are invited to a gourmand’s delight of traditional cuisine with a modern interpretation. Traditional flavours like Banhoek Bobotie and chicken pie will give visitors a taste of local hospitality. For the more adventurous, the menu offers delicacies like Springbok Skewers and quite a few delectable surprises for dessert. ilka WinesOwners are working towards the creation of an internationally significant Cabernet Sauvignon. Tiny volumes of Sauvignon Blanc were produced to compliment the King of the noble's - Cabernet Sauvignon. ilka is about a young family with a dream... We are proud to showcase our first wine produced under the brand ilka, a compilation of our identical twins Ilse and Karla.
