Alkantmooi Self Catering apartment offers a private, fully equipped, luxury 4 star apartment consisting of two bedrooms, bathroom, an open plan lounge / kitchen area and spacious wooden deck. Each of the rooms offers a heavenly view. The bedrooms have either a kingsize or twin beds with quality linen and towels. Beach towels are available for guests from overseas. A safe is provided in the main bedroom.
The bathroom has a separate shower, bath, wc and basin. Hairdryers are provided for your convenience. The lounge is furnished with DSTV (plasma TV) and leather couches.
The kitchen is fully equipped with stove and undercounter oven, fridge/deep-freeze, microwave and all kitchen equipment, cutlery and crockery. A hospitality tray is also included.
The lounge leads onto a covered wooden deck where you can enjoy a braai (BBQ) while playing pool - with a 180-degree birds eye view of the Indian Ocean, Plettenberg Bay and the surroundings. You might just spot a whale ….

Location & Attractions
Alkantmooi is well positioned to give the visitor access to world famous beaches, the Tsitsikamma forests and mountains of the Garden Route. You can also explore the wonders of the Knysna forests, Robberg and Storms River mouth. The blue Indian Ocean with endless white and sandy beaches is just one of Plettenberg Bay’s many natural wonders. (Keurbooms Beach 4.5km)
The Robberg Marine and Nature Reserve offers sweeping views, excellent birding, three hiking routes and the Nelson Bay cave - an argeological site with evidence of human habitation that streches back for more than 120 thousand years. There are numerous activities in the area like Whale and Dolphin encounters, world class Golf Courses, International Polo, Bungee jumping (world’s highest) , cycling, scuba diving, and river trips. (Keurbooms Ferries walking distance 2.5km)
Visit the Keurbooms Nature reserve (named after the Western Keurboom or choice tree). Sprays of pink and mauve flowers are seen from August to September and also between December and January. The headwaters of the Keurbooms River come from the Langkloof, north of the main Tsitsikamma mountain range. It’s gorge is spectacular and well worth a voyage upstream to enjoy the unspoilt beauty. A variety of habitats are conserved including the riverine gorge, patches of Knysna forest along the flood banks and in protected kloofs, coastal fynbos and estuarine dune fields.
A variety of activities and facilities are available, including braai, boating, ski-ing, canoeing, guided ferry trips, windsurfing, picknicking and an overnight canoe trail up to Whiskey Creek. At the Private Game Reserves you could spot white rhino, buffalo, bontebok, impala, sable, wildebeest and giraffe.
This is a spectacular part of the Garden Route. Follow one of Bain’s passes to a tranquil environment, magnificent sunsets and let the stress melt away. If you love the nature and like to enjoy it in privacy, it is definitly the place to be.
