Akwaaba Lodge, located approximately 19km from Rustenburg in the West, is a mere 90 minute drive from Johannesburg and 30 minute drive to Sun City. Set in a tranquil environment, Akwaaba Lodge is a perfect choice for weddings, conferences and corporate activities.AccommodationAccommodation is currently available for 15 people in luxury double bedrooms. We are soon putting up another 20 bedrooms for our guests. All the basics are available (DSTV, air conditioner, bar fridge, heaters, TV, Wi-Fi hotspot for internet, en-suite bathrooms, and lounge, a dining room for 36 guests, 2 bars and nice patios). FacilitiesOur swimming pool is close to the outside bar and braai area making a party very convenient and private from the rooms. Our gardens are all fully irrigated. The natural canopy provides shade for relaxing the garden. Teas and coffee can be served. Be it a bush barbecue or a barbecue in the boma, Akwaaba lodge does it all. Evening braais by the pool can be so much fun. Sunset is a pleasure to watch from our patio and the manicured gardens. Seeing as Sun City and the Pilanesberg Game Park are nearby, we offer our guests the opportunity to go on game drives and transport them to Sun City as the need arises. ActivitiesWe offer team building activities from hot air ballooning to paintball and tracking games. We have 72 hectares of flat farm land available for all these events. Hiking trails, bird watching and other bush related fun can be arranged. Big screen sports viewing are available in our conference and boardrooms. WeddingsGarden weddings are our speciality. Please call for an appointment and we will help you organise it all. We do understand that weddings are very personal. We do however have the facility available but we will prefer a meeting with the clients in order to put all the finishing touches to their programme. ConferencingOur conference facilities accommodate 20 to180 delegates. Audio visual equipment and Wi-Fi hotshots are available to you even in the bush so that you do not get left behind. Easy internet access is a must for today's travellers - a concept we understand so we have made internet access available to our guests. Akwaaba Lodge offers 2 conference facilities: The Kgotso Hall The Kgotso Hall seats 120 delegates U-shaped, 180 delegates’ cinema style and 120 delegates’ classroom style. The audiovisual sockets on the wall allow you to plug in your laptop next to the podium and with the presenter’s laser pointer and remote control the presenter can control every slide remotely. 2 wireless microphones make it convenient. The presenter’s microphone clips over the ears and makes movements effortless. The roving microphone is available for questions and discussions. With the internet access at the conference hall it makes it easier to refer to data even during the presentation wirelessly. The Lesang Boardroom The Lesang Boardroom conveniently seats 12-20 delegates. Also equipped with audiovisual state of the art technology one can have a conference or watch a movie and sports events. Teas and coffee can be served on the patios adjoining the conference halls making the whole session convenient. Bathroom facilities are available within the building. ACCREDITATIONS
