Velddrif Accommodation / Africa Sunrise Velddrif Accommodation / B&B and Self Catering in Velddrif

Escape to the tranquillity of the West Coast, with its abundant bird life, magnificent springtime flower displays, beautiful beaches and the meandering Berg River. The West Coast stretches for over 400 kilometres from places like Yzerfontein in the South, to the mighty Orange River in the North, where it forms the border with Namibia.

It is a region of unspoilt beauty and contrasts. Quaint little fishing villages and places of interest dot the landscape. Port Owen is a marina development in the quaint West Coast fishing village of Velddrif. Just 90 minutes away from Cape Town, it is situated on the banks of the Berg River, just a short distance from where the river runs into the sea at Laaiplek.

We offer 4 star accommodation on a B&B basis or self-catering and are very well situated to allow visitors to overnight and take day trips to as far afield as Klawer, Vanrhynsdorp and Nieuwoudtville to view the spectacular spring flowers.

Namaqualand is part of the vast area of botanic diversity, which every spring, bursts into a kaleidoscope of colour, with flowers, flowers, flowers as far as the eye can see!

Hilary and Koos Vermeulen invite you to visit them at their little place in the sun, on the beautiful unspoilt West Coast of Cape Town, where true hospitality and lazy, fun-filled days is still a way of life.
