The second bathroom is upstairs. Included are two TV sets (DSTV) one in the lounge and the other in the main bedroom. The unit is equipped with all linen including towels. Beach towels are also provided. In addition all beds have electric blankets and bedrooms have heaters. A gas fireplace is situated in the lounge. Each bedroom has its own theme with the emphasis on waterfront living. The unit is bright and modern, aimed at the holiday maker who needs the flexibility of self catering or eating out should you wish. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, microwave oven, washing machine and tumble drier. Eating can be done indoors or on the patio overlooking the water and your own private floating mooring. A barbeque is provided should you wish to cook outdoors. Additional FacilitiesAttached to the unit are two lock up garages with remote controls. Secure parking is available and 24 hour security is standard. A security safe is provided in the unit for travel documents etc. Ashtrays are provided for smoking outdoors. Knysna Quays is centrally situated within walking distance from most shops and restaurants. ActivitiesFor the nature lover and adrenalin junkie there are many things to see and do within a one hour drive from Knysna ranging from forest and coastal hikes to mountain biking and bungee jumping. The Knysna lagoon offers safe swimming, boating and sailing with a variety of charter cruises available throughout the year. Between August and November Plettenberg Bay, 32kms from Knysna, offers boat based whale watching opportunities where close encounters with Southern Right whales and dolphins are a common occurrence. Knysna is famous for its indigenous Afro Montane forests and offers tourists an opportunity to get close to nature with many hiking trails in the area and a wide variety of animal life including the elusive Knysna forest elephants which are rarely seen. The Knysna Loerie is regularly heard in the forest. This shy and beautiful bird is found throughout the indigenous forests often seen as a flash of scarlet as it flies from tree to tree in search of fruit. A 25km ride northeast of Knysna will take you to the Millwood Gold Fields where in the late 1800’s thousands of hopeful gold diggers were frantically panning and digging for their dream of riches. Today all that is left is a grave yard, a restored stamp mill and long forgotten mine shafts.
