The North West Province of South Africa is home to the university town of Potchefstroom, where pretty landscapes are the order of the day and the folk are friendly and diverse. This is also the town in which the MooiRivier Mall can be found, named after the beautiful river on which Potch is perched.
This shopping centre enjoys prime positioning; the river flowing by peacefully, flanked by tall willow trees that cast a dappled shade over those walking or sitting below them. MooiRivier is committed to showcasing the natural beauty of the river. So, using design savvy and a modern approach to bringing the outside in, this mall has glass flooring. Not only is this stunning to see, but it is intriguing for little ones, who will happily spend their time exploring the waterway below their feet. This is an environmentally friendly mall, making use of natural light, biodegradable products and modern technology, rather than using unnecessary power, water and other natural resources.
The mall occupies an area of some 52 325 square metres and is home to around 100 stores and outlets. These include chain stores, service providers, speciality shops and boutiques; giving shoppers the ultimate in variety. Shoppers can look forward to visiting CNA, American Swiss, Donna Claire, Foschini, Exact, Jay Jays, Leather and Lace, Old Khaki, Woolworths, and Game. There is also a Ster-Kinekor cinema here for those who feel like relaxing to the latest releases.
Shopping takes effort, and avid shoppers will likely work up an appetite. There are a number of restaurants, fast food outlets and coffee shops at MooiRivier Mall, with plenty of variety.
Johannesburg, in Gauteng, is around 120 kilometres from the mall. This is South Africa’s busiest commercial and entertainment hub, and is home to the OR Tambo International Airport, as well as to many other tourist attractions and activities.
