Ndzalama Wildlife Reserve
offers two different types of accommodation, each with its own distinctive character. You
can choose from the luxurious Ndzalama Lodge to the rustic Leopard Rock Bush camp. All the
camps are self catering / self drive.
Please note that the camps are not fenced off and that we do have free roaming dangerous
wild animals (i.e. Lion, Leopard, Elephant, etc).
Ndzalama Lodge: Accommodation is luxurious - the architecture blends harmoniously
with the stunning hues of the majestic surrounding rock formations. The six stone and
thatch chalets are air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms that seem to be an object of
desire for many guests. Opening the bathroom's outer door, one is surprised by an
unexpected outdoor shower - completely private but for the occasional feathered visitor!
Each chalet also has it's own private veranda where one can enjoy the abundant birdlife of
more than 300 species.
There's a big, fully equipped, communal kitchen in the main building with walk-in fridge
and -freezer and an ice machine. Communal braai facilities at main building. (Please note
there is no restaurant on the property, you have to provide your own food and drinks.) A
beautiful rock pool to escape the heat of the day.
Leopard Rock Bush Camp: This camp offers rustic comfort, allowing guests to get
close to nature. Sturdy stone-and-thatch rooms form an enclosure, creating a cosy,
comfortable atmosphere. There's no electricity and no linen provided (only beds and
mattresses). Maximum of 12 guests: one unit sleeping 4 people (room divided with a wall)
and 4 units sleeping 2 people each. The two communal toilets and -showers are designed to
create a close-to-Nature experience. Running hot water and flush toilets are welcome
amenities. A winding way leads to the lapa or boma. The kitchen has a gas stove, -fridge
and -freezer with crockery and cutlery provided. A small splash pool offers guests the
opportunity to cool down after a hot day in the bush.
CONFERENCES:
A unique spot for small conferences (up to 12 delegates at each venue). Enjoy the peace of
the Bushveld and the amenities of extraordinary venues.
The Eden Conference Facility: situated at Ndzalama Lodge is a beautifully created
open-air venue with a wooden deck for a floor and gigantic granite rocks for walls. A
canopy of branches form a see-through ceiling. Lighting and electrical plugs are
available. Bring your next conference to Ndzalama where the magic of the Sacred Rocks and
surrounds will work wonders on your creativity, team spirit and imagination! All of the
camps are self catering/self drive. We do however make use of a local caterer for year end
functions, weddings etc.
GAME VIEWING:
The 8000ha (20 000 acres) stretch of bushveld is home to Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard as
well as the rare Sable Antelope. These shy antelopes are not often seen and spotting them
offers a thrill to many a guest. A wide variety of other game, such as Giraffe, Zebra and
Nyala roam the reserve, which makes game drives on open vehicles an exciting event. |
