DESCRIPTION:

Lavender Cottage Plettenberg Bay is situated in a secluded quiet garden of the main residence where you can enjoy your privacy and awake in the mornings by the chirping of birds. The premises are equipped with 24 hour security, alarm system as well as security beams for your safety.

Lavender cottage is meticulously fitted with all the modern equipment you would require in a home away from home. There is a cold and hot Air conditioner installed for your comfort.

Accommodation

Accommodation consists of an open plan lounge/kitchen, bedroom (built in cupboards) with a full bathroom (bath, toilet, shower and hand basin) and double carport.

The kitchen is equipped with an under counter stove and cooking hob, fridge, microwave oven as well as all the necessary cooking, baking, eating and drinking utensils you would require in a normal household (should there be any item you would still require please let us know and we will gratefully, within reason, supply it). A breakfast nook with four stools is installed in the kitchen.

A couch (sleeper couch), which can also double as sleeping space for two extra guests, is in the lounge. A 66cm flat screen television with all Digital Satellite Television channels is installed in the lounge.

The bedroom is fitted with a double bed as well as ample storing and hanging space in the built in cupboards. A security safe for the storing of your valuables is also installed in one of the bedroom cupboards. All bedroom linen and towels including beach towels are supplied.

Additional equipment and items you would require include the following: two beach chairs, beach umbrella, portable braai, weber braai and a baby camper cot. We have housed in the main residence ADSL Internet connectivity at your disposal and use should you so wish. A brick paved area surrounds the modern cottage with ample parking for your invited guests.

Location

Lavender Cottage Plettenberg Bay is approximately five minutes walk from the Beacon Island shopping centre where you can find the following retail outlets: Spar Supermarket, pharmacy, video shop, liquor store, restaurant, petrol filling station and estate agency. The popular Central and Robberg beaches are approximately ten minutes walk away from us.

Attractions and Activities

Leisure activities in and around Plettenberg Bay include Glider trips which are operated from a landing strip on the Keurbooms River approximately five kilometres from us.

Golf at the two courses namely Plettenberg Bay Country Club and Goose Valley Golf Course. Bowls, tennis, squash, horse riding, fishing trips, boat trips, whale watching trips (May to November), and game watching.

The nearest airport to Plettenberg Bay is George, which is approximately 100 kilometres away. All car hire facilities are available at the George Airport. We are only approximately 40 kilometres from the renowned Blaukranz Bungy jumping site which is situated on the N2 on the Eastern side of Plettenberg Bay should you wish to test your bravery.

Hiking trails in and around Plettenberg Bay are plentiful. The nearest ones being the Robberg Peninsula (which is a two and a half hour walk) and the Harkerville one (a two hour walk through the forest). You can also test your cycling skills by cycling through the Harkerville woods on the cycling trail.

Birds of Eden, a wild bird sanctuary and Monkey Land (various types of primates) are a must to see when you visit Plettenberg Bay. Both are located next to each other on the N2 at the Crags also situated on the Eastern side of town approximately 25 kilometres away.
