DESCRIPTION:
This gracious Cape Dutch homestead is situated on a 24-acre estate and offers distant mountain views, koi ponds, a secluded pool and verandas and courtyards, which ensure a truly relaxed stay. Each of the high-ceilinged elegantly decorated en-suite rooms, convey a feeling of tranquillity and include cushioned comfort, air-conditioning, percale linen and specialised toiletries. Gowns, room safes, telephones and tea and coffee facilities add additional luxuries.
The front lounge with comfortable couches, small library, wood burning fire place, and satellite TV offers an additional area to chill out or enjoy a cup of tea with the decadent cake of the day.
The cognac lounge has a 42” TV for those important sports events and separate sitting areas to relax after dinner with an aged brandy or whisky.

Seven Luxury rooms (28 – 35m˛)
Situated approx 30 meters from the Main Lodge, En-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower, air-conditioning /heating, tea and coffee facilities, percale linen in addition to sumptuous soft furnishings - heated towel rails in the bathrooms and Mini bar fridges. Private terraces opening onto a small dam.
Breakfast and Dining
Sumptuous breakfasts, consisting of fresh fruits, freshly baked breads, croissants and muffins, homemade jams and cooked breakfast specials, will prepare you for the day ahead.
Pre dinner drinks are enjoyed around blazing braziers in the candle lit courtyard or in the relaxed cognac-lounge. The lodge boasts one of the finest menus on the Garden Route and specializes in seafood and game dishes. Convivial 4 course Gourmet dinners are served in the traditional reed-ceilinged dining room, or may be enjoyed in the rustically charming, leaf strewn wine room.

Location and Attractions
Lairds Lodge is perfectly positioned to explore the Garden Route, from Wilderness to the Tsitsikamma Forest. Daily excursions are planned by one of the knowledgeable hostesses and could include up-close encounters with whales and dolphins on one of the ever-popular ocean boat trips, or close encounters with the Knysna Elephants.
Other options include, hiking on the Robberg Marine and Nature Reserve, golfing at one of 5 superb championship courses, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, and The Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve or sunbathing and swimming at one of the pristine beaches. |
