The house has four spacious B&B rooms and a two bedroomed self catering flat. It is located in the quiet suburb of Costa Sarda 3km from the famous Waterfront and central shopping area as well as 5km from the golf courses. There is a restuarant 500m from the house at the well known River Club called Boogies.We are also situated 200m from the lagoon along which a paved pathway leads to the Waterfront (12mins walk) or to a local pub. Your hosts are Janet and George Watson; both in their younger days were involved in water skiing and today have taken up the sport of lawn bowls. The boat is still around used on the odd occasion when free time is available. George is a qualified Western Cape tour guide and will be able to give advice regarding your visit to the area. Children of all ages are welcome as Janet and George are grandparents and love kids including the two friendly dogs and tortoises. Bed & Breakfast AccommodationThe B&B rooms are carpeted with a double bed or twin beds if specified, en suite bathroom (shower only), remote TV, fridge, ceiling fan, wall heater, digital safe and a tea / coffee making facility. The room has a winged back chair as well as dressing table and chair. Two of the B&B rooms have double doors which can be opened onto the garden. There is a lounge with TV / DVD of which double doors lead onto the garden with a large lawn and verandah. BreakfastOur breakfasts are the best in Knysna prepared and cooked by George, continental or full English breakfast is available from 7.30 till 9.00. Speak nicely to Janet and she will convince George to accommodate you should you require breakfast at a different time. Self Catering FlatThe self catering flat consists of two bedrooms; one with a double bed, the other twin beds one of which can convert to a bunk bed. All linen and towels with exception of swimming towels are provided. Two bedrooms are carpeted and the full bathroom has a shower above the bath. The fully equipped kitchen with 4 plate stove and microwave is open plan, bar stools are provided around the counter top. Open plan lounge with settee chairs and TV for your comfort, and in the corner a plastic table and chairs are located should you wish to place outside when having a barbeque. There are two patios, one with a portable Weber type barbeque, and the other just for relaxing. A few steps lead to the private entrance to the flat from the car park. Guests are requested not to smoke in the B&B rooms but smoking is permitted in the guest lounge and on the outside verandah. Facilities• Safe off street parking and a swimming pool will add to the comfort of your stay. • Internet and fax facilities are available. DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town (as well as George Airport) on N2 After travelling alongside the lagoon on N2 at the first traffic light turn right into Waterfront Road you will travel past the station ,waterfront carry straight on past 2 sets traffic lights. The road will take a bend and slight uphill past Fruit & Veg on your right. Then the road goes uphill and turns left to a set of traffic lights this is a T junction at the main road /N2. Turn right approx 200metres on the left is the Hospital and ambulance depot just after the set of traffic lights you will see a sign Costa Sarda turn right. Road wiil bend left you will then see River Club Restaurant just before turn right into Sun Valley Drive. Drive straight on and you will see a large face brick building thats Janet's drive in and park at back of building. From Port Elizabeth (as well as Plettenberg Bay) on N2 Down the hill towards Knysna and after the turn off to Leisure Island you will arrive at the First traffic lights on the left hand side is the Caltex garage.At the traffic lights turn left you will now face the Kwick Spar bear rght into Holiday Camp Crescent proceed past Waterways till River Club turn left into Sun Valley Drive sign on right hand side points to Costa Sarda.As you turn left into Sun Valley Drive it turns slightly right look ahead you will see a large facebrick building with Dstv dish on the side that is Janet,s You have arrived parking is at the back of building.
