DESCRIPTION:

If you are merely passing through Knysna and intend only staying one night, or have Knysna as a specific destination in mind to stay for a few days, we offer you well appointed accommodation and ensure that our guests receive excellent service at all times.

Knysna, as a destination, is a must for all those travelling along the Garden Route. The town itself is delightful and provides tourists with many things to do. We encourage our guests to make Knysna their base as we are ideally situated for short day trips to Tsitsikamma National Park, Plettenberg Bay (and surrounds), Wilderness, George and Oudtshoorn.

Hide-Away Guest House is a beautiful Cape Colonial property set opposite the Knysna Lagoon and is a 15 minute walk into either town or the Waterfront.

ACCOMMODATION


We offer you a choice of room types. Two Executive Rooms located on the ground floor and three Superior Rooms on the first floor offer spectacular views of the Knysna Lagoon and Heads. Breakfast is served on the verandah outside your room (weather permitting).

Two additional Superior Rooms are located in the Main House with breakfast served either in the dining room or on the verandah (weather permitting).

ROOM FACILITIES


All rooms have been tastefully furnished and have en-suite bathrooms with shower, TV, mini bar, tea/coffee tray, hairdryer, fan, heater, electric blanket (in winter), mini safe, clock radio and gowns.

Telephone services and free wireless internet is available. Laundry on request. In addition, guests have the use of a swimming pool and small gym.

YOUR HOSTS


Your South African hosts, Cecil and Colleen Harding, have committed themselves to ensuring that their guests have a wonderful experience whilst staying with them. They will be there to personally meet you on arrival and will further assist you with planning your activities for the duration of your stay with them. Cecil and Colleen have been in the travel industry for many years and are happy to pass on their recommendations as to where to go once you leave their Garden of Eden.

From Port Elizabeth:
N2 to Knysna from PE. Drive through Knysna past Waterfront Drive. Take 3rd road on the right (Albatross Street). Turn left after 1 (ONE) meter. Follow service road parallel to N2 (must see the lagoon). Our Sign is across from our driveway.

From Cape Town:
N2 to Knysna from Cape Town. Drive along the Knysna lagoon until Craft Market on right. Take 2nd road on the left (Albatross Street). Turn left after 1 (ONE) meter. Follow service road parallel to N2 (must see the lagoon). Our Sign is across from our driveway.
