DESCRIPTION:

Centrally situated a mere 2.5 kms from the town centre, Guadeloupe Self Catering Cottages and Apartments overlook the Knysna Lagoon from a hilltop, at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Although close to all the shops and amenities, its special location gives the visitor a feeling of being in the countryside - with wonderful views onto the Knysna Lagoon itself.

ACCOMMODATION

Consisting of 2 fully equipped self-catering cottages, as well as 4 modern, stylish, airy and upmarket, completely equipped self-catering apartments, all looking directly down onto the Knysna Lagoon. Guests can select from the following choice apartments:

The Apartmemts

The Bright House:
Contains two separate bedrooms (both with queen-sized beds), as well as two separate bathrooms. Fully equipped for self catering. Large private patio, BBQ and outdoor furniture.

The Shoe Room
Contains two bedrooms (both with queen-sized beds), as well as two separate bathrooms. Fully equipped for self catering. Large private patio, BBQ and outdoor furniture.

The Tea Room
Contains three separate bedrooms (two with queen-sized beds; one with twin singles). Can accommodate 6 persons. Contains two separate bathrooms. Fully equipped for self-catering. Large private patio, BBQ and outdoor furniture.

The Light House
The honeymoon suite - one bedroom (queen-sized bed), and one bathroom. Fully equipped for self-catering. Small Romeo and Juliette balcony and small weber BBQ.

Facilities

All the apartments have wonderful views onto the Knysna Lagoon. The apartments are built "loft-style", with the first bedroom upstairs on a mezzanine floor with large windows which allow one direct views onto the Knysna Lagoon. The upstairs rooms in each unit have an en suite bathroom with a shower. Heated towel rails for Winter - towel changes done regularly and rooms serviced daily.

The downstairs bedrooms in each apartment have a bath each - also with heated towel rails. All units are fully equipped for self-catering with extras such as pull-out washing lines over the bath, hairdryers, fans, heaters and wall safe, filter coffee machine in each kitchen. Each apartment opens onto its own large private balcony through a set of double doors, which give the apartments a lovely feeling of light and space. All the bedrooms have built-in cupboards and the apartments are stylishly and tastefully decorated with an eye for detail.

COTTAGES

The Top Cottage AND The Bottom Cottage: - The open-plan kitchen in both the Top and Bottom cottages opens onto the lounge which has a pull-out sleeper couch (double), which sleeps two persons comfortably. The main bedroom in each of the two cottages has built in cupboards, all bed linen, extra blankets etc. provided. Cottages serviced daily in season (no Sundays and public holidays out of season). Towel and linen changes done regularly.

Each main bedroom in the cottages has an en suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Each cottage has its own private patio and weber BBQ. All in all - accommodation that is clean, comfortable and classy.

On-site Facilities & Servicezs

There is safe on-premises parking for all of our cottages and apartments - each unit is supplied with an automatic gate control for easy access. A full laundry service is offered - simply leave the washing in the washing basket provided, and place it in the bath - to be taken for washing when the rooms are serviced. There is a 9 metre swimming pool situated near the Top and Bottom cottages, for use by residents.
