With its 100 acres of landscaped grounds, farmland and forest and hosting our small Nguni herd and retired polo and racehorses you are certain to relax and enjoy the surroundings. You are just a 15 minute drive to Plettenberg Bay’s famous white sandy beaches, restaurants and many tourist attractions. An eight minute drive will secure you a horse-back or Jeep safari at the popular and well priced Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve or Buffalo Hills Game Park. AccommodationSpend a romantic night in of our authentic rondavels with sweet smelling thatch, choose a modern decorated garden room or African styled suite, or spoil yourself to a Colonial room in the farmhouse with its yellowwood floors and beams reflecting the bygone days of old Africa. Our self-catering forest lodges with their own pool and braai areas offer that perfect bush getaway beit for a weekend or family holiday. We have something here to suit all budgets. BreakfastOur breakfasts are legendary, served either in the Old Dairy infront of a roaring log fire should the mornings be cold or on our terrace surrounded by geraniums and fresh herbs. Evening meals and traditional South African braais can be catered for by prior notice. WeddingsWhether it is an intimate bushveld-wedding, a wedding of 30-60 people or a large wedding of up to 200 people, Bellamanga Country House is where your wedding day dreams begin, this is our promise to you that your perfect wedding day will be a treasured memory forever. We have two functions rooms, the Old Dairy which holds from 30-60 people comfortably, it is decorated in a rustic African style and is very popular with our Afrikaans clients, whose decorations of stones, feathers and driftwood blend into the ambiance of the room. The bench-style tables and benches seat 4-6 people at each table and are easily moved to provide the perfect seating plan. The galley kitchen is of an ample size to cater for the amount of people that the rooms holds. The large fireplace provides ample warmth for chilly winter days. The use of our crockery and cutlery is included in the package for this room. Many of our brides who opt for this room choose our mobile roasting oven for mixed meats, pig roast or lamb roast with wedges, traditional salads and breads, with a traditional African dessert such as malva pudding or milk tart with cream. The second room is our newly renovated 'Nguni Room' which holds up to 200 people. This spacious, light airy room has a large kitchen suitable for in-house or out-sourced caterers and houses an indoor and outside bar. There is an elevated gallery enabling guests to enjoy the spectacular views of the farm whilst enjoying a glass of wine. There is a huge fireplace in here for cold winter days or cool summer nights. There are ladies and gents cloakrooms complete with showers. This room is decorated in a mild African style but is an open canvas for each bride to put her own mark on. The roller blinds at the back open to reveal a large expanse of lawns. Tables and chairs, crockery and cutlery must be hired in for weddings in this room which we can organise for you, either round or long tables would look stunning in here. Activities and AttractionsFor those who are energetic, mountain biking, hiking or bass fishing is all here for you at Bellamanga. Quad bike safaris can be arranged in advance exclusively for our guests, alternatively for a lazy day, a day spent at the pool and jacuzzi with a light lunch might be just the tonic you need.
