Origins Guest House offers country accommodation near the Cradle of Humankind. Guests often choose to stay at Origins in order to attend a function or wedding at one of the nearby venues, or for a weekend or holiday away to explore the Cradle of Humankind and Crocodile Ramble area. ~ Serenity, Comfort, Nature, Creativity, Courtesy, Professionalism, Privacy ~ Our very secure, private 3.5Ha country premises consists of a sprawling, 1000+sqm building, a back garden with pine forest and patio, a front garden with lawn, water features and lights. A large part of the property is natural and wild veld, housing numerous small animals, including hedgehogs, lizards, bats, snakes, birds, guinea fowls, turtles, frogs and others. ACCOMMODATIONWith only four, individually styled one bedroom luxury suites to care for, you can expect personal service and comfortable rooms. Each of the four suites has a distinctive character and style. The magnificent Claude Suite has a private patio, large oval bathtub, his and hers basins and separate shower. The Frida Suite has an extra large bedroom and bathroom, his and hers basins, bidet and shower over bath. The private Vincent Suite has its own garden, huge bedroom, and a second dressing / coffee and tea room. The bathroom has a shower only. The extra large Pablo Suite has a separate bath and shower. All rooms are strictly non-smoking. Unfortunately Origins Guest House does not accommodate children under 15 years old or pets. Although it is always different, you can expect fried or scrambled eggs and bacon, cheeses, cold meats, muesli, cereal, yoghurt, honey, fruit juice and a selection of rolls and breads. On weekdays, you have a choice of either bacon, eggs, toast, fruit juice, tea/coffee or the health option (muesli/cereal, yoghurt, honey, toast , fruit juice and tea/coffee). Our discreet staff will have pleasure in preparing a picnic basket for you, or serving you tea, coffee and cold drinks while you relax in a private garden area, in the lounge or by the swimming pool. Ordering of refreshments and library items can be done by SMS. There are also numerous other dining options in the near vicinity. FUNCTIONSSmaller functions (dances, dinners or corporate events) can be arranged in our Tango Lounge, which has a patio leading to an attractive garden and water features. LOCATION & ATTRACTIONSOrigins Guest House is conveniently located on the corner of Beyers Naude Extension (Lammermoor Drive or M5) and Elandsdrift / Lanseria Road. Origins Guest House is in close proximity to the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site (East side), the Cradle Nature Reserve & Restaurant, Lion and Rhino Park, Heia Safari Ranch, Aloe Ridge Hotel, Moon & Sixpence, Ekudeni, Fat Olive Restaurant and Bellgables Restaurant. It is within 20km on country roads to Fourways and Honeydew, Lanseria Airport, Sterkfontein, Maropeng, the Lion Park and Krugersdorp Game Reserve. The area is a favourite for road cyclists and motorcyclists.
