Mount Grace is an ideal stop over at the start of your trip or en route to your final destination. Our transfer service will collect and transport you back to OR Tambo International airport. You can enjoy the countryside, walk up the mountain, enjoy the waterfall and abundant birdlife or bask at the poolside in our magnificent setting. You can also try your hand at trout fishing, indulge yourself in our shop or enjoy a picnic in the countryside.

ACCOMMODATION - ROOM TYPES


Standard Guest Rooms - 19 Rooms:
Surrounded by English country gardens in close proximity to the main facilities, these rooms, originally restyled from the Thatchstone Inn, vary in size and design and are furnished in dark oak with fresh cosy fabrics.

Superior Rooms - 33 Rooms:
Comprising upper or lower accommodation with wonderful views of the Rietpoort Valley to the west or hills to the north, the rooms are intimately furnished in decorative floral prints and Oregon pine, as well as newly refurbished Thatchstone rooms set in English country gardens in close proximity to the main facilities, these rooms, originally restyled from the Thatchstone Inn, vary in size and design.

Luxury Rooms:
Upper Mountain Village - 10 Rooms:
These rooms are situated on a high plateau with spectacular views and is best suited to guests who enjoy a little exercise. Interiors are all spacious and luxuriously furnished. Each unit is totally separate and has it's own private plunge pool.

Lower Mountain Village - 4 Rooms:
These are closer to the main hotel and have the same spacious and luxurious interiors as the Upper Mountain Village. Each unit is separate and has it's own plunge pool.

Treetops Village - 15 Rooms:
Set high above a ravine in dense indigenous bush, affording majestic views and a rich bird life. Air-conditioned stone accommodation with large balconies are the epitome of modern design and comfort.

The Spa offers a range of luxurious body and skin treatments. The adjoining Hydrotherapy Spa Garden offers all the benefits of water therapy. The addition of seven new spa treatment rooms has just been completed and the new complex of rooms dubbed 'The Bush Spa', bringing the total number of treatment rooms to 12. DIRECTIONS:

From the Airport / East Rand
1. Upon exiting the airport, keep right, following signs for R24 / Johannesburg. This road joins the highway.
2. Continue straight along the R24 (N3) / Johannesburg.
3. Approx. 9 km after leaving the airport, move to the centre right lane.
4. You will merge with the N3 highway. Follow the signs for the N3 / N1 / Pretoria. Take the fork to the right.
5. Immediately after this fork, turn left onto the interchange and continue following N3 / N1 / Pretoria signs.
6. Proceed past all the Sandton and Randburg off-ramps.
From here follow points 2 -11 Directions from Johannesburg and Gauteng.

From Johannesburg and Gauteng
1. Head west along N1 (concrete ring highway) just north of Johannesburg.
2. Exit from N1 at 14th Avenue off-ramp.
3. Turn right under highway, then right again at second set of traffic lights. You are now on the M47 to Krugersdorp / Tarlton (you will pass Hillfox Power Centre).
4. Proceed along the M47 through six sets of traffic lights. After approx. 15 km you will reach a four way stop distinguished by a Sasol petrol station on the left hand side.
5. Proceed straight across.
6. Continue along the M47, which now becomes the N14 (to Ventersdorp) for approx. 10.5 km, you will reach a T-junction. Opposite is the Oaktree Café and a Zenex petrol station.
7. Turn right onto R563 for 500 m (stay in the left-hand lane), turn left onto N14.
8. Continue on this road for approx. 10.5 km until you reach a 4 way stop.
9. Turn right onto R24 to Rustenburg / Magaliesburg, continue for 15 km to Magaliesburg village.
10. Proceed through the village, on the far side keep to your right, and continue along the R24 for approx. 2.4 km where you will see the first Mount Grace sign.
11. At the second Mount Grace sign turn right. We share an entrance with Camp David and Boys Town. Cross over the river and proceed approx. 2 km up the mountain to the hotel.

From Pretoria
1. Get onto the N14, which is the freeway from Pretoria to Krugersdorp.
2. Proceed for approx. 60 km to a 4-way stop with a Sasol petrol station on the right hand side.
3. Turn right onto M47 to Tarlton.
From here follow points 6-11 Directions from Johannesburg and Gauteng.
