Craighall Park is located in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg and is central to business and shopping districts of Rosebank, Hyde Park, Sandton, Randburg, Braamfontein and downtown Johannesburg.

YOUR HOSTS


Your host Liz offers excellent personal service and provides a sumptuous breakfast and a home away from home. Zac Gumbo helps Liz manage the Bed and Breakfast and is available for on-site transport and airport transfers at reasonable rates. By prior arrangement guests may make use of his driving services on a daily basis or part thereof.

ACCOMMODATION


All units have 4 star luxuries and offer en-suite with shower and bath, wall/underfloor heating in bathrooms, added luxuries like hairdryers, towelling gowns, radio clock alarms, fridges and tea/coffee making facilities, fresh fruit and rusks, electric blankets and heaters. All rooms have broadband wireless internet connections, direct private phone lines, DSTV with own decoder, well-lit work areas and a modem for laptop if required. All units also have their own separate entrances, individual patios with outdoor tables to enjoy eating breakfasts al fresco or drinks under the clear Jozi summer evening sky.

The Blue Room:
Painted in a calming pale cornflower blue, this double room has a queen bed and en-suite bathroom (shower over the bath).

The Earth Room:
(option of self-catering and disabled friendly): Self-contained unit comprising large room with twin-beds, and open-plan living area with underfloor heating and fully equipped kitchenette. The en-suite bathroom has shower and bath. Access to the unit is on level ground through double doors; in addition strategic safety handles in bathroom make this unit disabled friendly.

The Yellow Cottage:
Large bright north-facing twin-bedded unit with en-suite bathroom (shower and bath), separate entrance and opening up onto its own large patio.

The Garden Cottage:
(option of self-catering): Self contained cottage with one bedroom (queen bed) en-suite bathroom (shower and bath) and large living room with fully-equipped open-plan kitchen. A queen-size sleeper couch in the living room provides an extra bed for a family. The cottage opens up onto a spacious enclosed patio - a sun-trap in winter and shaded by the branches of a huge leafy oak in summer. Loungers and table and chairs allow guests to make the most of Johannesburg's balmy summer evenings and crisp winter days. Own telephone line. Ideal for longer stays.

Sage, Coral and Ochre Studio Flatlets:
Spacious en-suite (shower and bath) twin or king; with sleeper couch for an extra person, dining area and fully equipped kitchenette; open out onto own enclosed private courtyards; DSTV; internet connection; own phone line.

CRAIGHALL PARK


Craighall Park is situated at the hub of the prestige business and shopping areas of Rosebank, Hyde Park, Sandton and Randburg and is close to the trendy restaurant meccas of Parkhurst and Greenside. All amenities are catered for at these major centres, which are a mere five to ten minute drive from Liz at Lancaster. Local shopping centres with banks, grocery stores, chemists and dry cleaners are within walking distance.

DIRECTIONS:

From Johannesburg International Airport (38.4 km)
Take the R24 from the airport. Follow the M2 Johannesburg (also Durban / Kimberley) sign and then the M2 to Johannesburg W/Germiston E. M2 W lane to Johannesburg. M1 N Sandton / Pretoria. Take the 4th off-ramp, the M27 N Jan Smuts Ave and turn LEFT to Rosebank.

Proceed on Jan Smuts for 6.1 km passing through 9 sets of robots until 10th robot turn left into Bompas (Dunkeld West shops with large STAX sign). Turn right at T junction into Northumberland. Over Norfolk and 2nd left at circle into Clarence. First right into Lancaster; Liz at Lancaster is about 8 houses along on the right. There is no B&B sign outside but a large curved stone clad wall with 79 Lancaster clearly marked.

Or
From the M1 take the Corlett Drive off-ramp. Coming from town going north turn left up Corlett Drive; coming from Pretoria going south turn right up Corlett Drive. Continue to the top of Corlett Drive past Melrose Arch and Wanderers until it meets Oxford Road in a T junction. Turn left and get into the right hand lane immediately. Turn first right into Bompas Road. Travel all the way down Bompas Road over Jan Smuts and at the T junction at the bottom turn right. Follow directions as above.
