Situated in Morningside Manor, Fairlawns boasts 12 highly exclusive suites with an additional 6 luxury suites and one presidential suite. A must is the elegant dining and "old world style" bar. ACCOMMODATIONA true grandiose home away from home, each suite consists of main bedroom with en-suite bathroom including Jacuzzi bath. A lounge with fireplace and a large working desk, modem ports, internet access and fax machine. All rooms are fully air-conditioned. The Presidential suite is a traditional, opulent European villa style, boasting 240 square metres of sheer unadulterated luxury. The suite was especially designed for visiting dignitaries and sophisticated world travellers. It consists of 2 large bedrooms with en-suite bathroom including Jacuzzi & steam shower, 1 bedroom with en-suite bathroom, including double steam shower, full study with large working desk, modem ports, fax machine plus fully stocked complimentary bar and some of the guests' favourite foods, a large lounge and fireplace, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and complimentary Internet access. DININGFull English breakfast is included in the rate and may be taken anywhere, anytime. There is no cut-off time for in-house guests, and they may request breakfast by the pool, on The Rose Terrace, or in their suite should they so desire. The lunch and dinner menus are a la carte. Our candlelit gourmet dinners are served in a Private Dining-Room, in the restaurant on the terrace, or as room service. In the summer, guests may request a table be set on the lawns under the stars, or near the lit fountains, a service which we are happy to provide. In the evenings, relax with an aperitif on the tranquil terrace, sip cognac in front of the fire, or be sociable in the elegant Colonial Bar. In winter, guests congregate around the welcoming fireplace like moths around a candle, for some good old-fashioned gemütlichkeit. Private dinners can be arranged away from other diners in either the Private Dining Room leading off The Rose Terrace or the La Scala room can accommodate one large table of 28 or 6 tables of 10 for banquet dinners. BARThe Fairlawns' colonial bar is a fully stocked award-winning bar. To date, 2 merit, 3 platinum and 1 diamond award (one of only 5 National recipients) have been awarded from Diners Club "Wine list of the year" award. A recent addition is the cellar stocked with both local and international rare and vintage wines. The Rose Terrace is opened to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are several options available to organisers of functions, ranging from a full open bar for the host's account to a cash bar. CONFERENCESOur conference facilities are ideal for more intimate team building or management strategy or brain-storming meetings, ensuring privacy and pleasant surroundings. There are few clues that one is actually in the middle of the city. After conferencing, delegates are welcome to gather in the bar, lounge around the pool or sit on The Rose Terrace to enjoy a sundowner. There are two conference venues, namely La Scala room, which accommodates a maximum of 42 schoolroom style, and The Boardroom. The Boardroom is a smaller, more intimate room which accommodates 12. DIRECTIONS: From OR Tambo International (approx 25km/20min): On leaving the Airport, take the R24 to Johannesburg. You stay on the highway until you see signs to Pretoria. Get onto the N3 to Pretoria. Take the Marlborough off-ramp and turn left. Carry along this road until you get to a T-Junction. This is Bowling Ave. Turn right and go through 4 sets of Traffic lights. After the 4th set of traffic lights, you need to turn left into Alma Road. Down Alma Road (keeping right) 500 meters until you see the Fairlawns on the right hand side.
