The Eastern Cape Highland Gathering, in Port Elizabeth, is a celebration of all things Scottish, including Bagpipes and Drums, Scottish Highland Dancing, Tossing the Caber and of course, Whisky.
This gathering is not only a public event, but is also used by the entrants as a competition venue with pipers, drummers and dancers coming from all over the Eastern Cape and as far afield as Cape Town and Johannesburg to compete for the title and trophy. With stalls to suit everyone's taste, musical entertainment, tea gardens, a bar, jumping castles and an air rifle shooting range there's enough here to keep the whole family busy.
Set in the picturesque Victoria Park Bowls Club, this is an ideal venue to relax with the family and embrace Scottish culture. Entrance is R15 for adults, R10 for scholars over 12 and free for children under 12.
