The Royal Guest House extends its warm welcome to all travellers - be it business or pleasure. We are situated on the East bank of the Kowie River that runs through Port Alfred, offering guests a stunning panoramic view of our quaint little town, the Indian Ocean and the peaceful Royal Alfred Marina.

Accommodation


The Royal Guest House has 12 rooms on 3 levels, a lovely plush lounge area with a crows’ nest view of our beautiful surrounds, a deck and pool area to enjoy on hot summer days or to delight in at sundowners when the sun sets directly across from The Royal Guest House.

Each room is furnished with natural weave and dark wood furniture, finished off with luxurious percale linen for that light relaxing feel. All our rooms contain air-conditioning units, flat screen TV with selected DSTV channels, tea/coffee facilities, a stocked mini-bar, alarm clock and hairdryer, robes and slippers ... and much more to ensure that your stay with us is every bit as comfortable as it should be.

Facilities


The cosy lounge has a bar, television, recliner chair and plush lounge suite overlooking the marina. We also have a large log fire should the evenings turn chilly. French doors from the lounge open onto a magnificent wooden deck (with pool and loungers) from where you can overlook the town and out to sea (sometimes spotting the odd migrating whale!)

The Royal Guest House is situated high on the east bank of the Kowie River which runs through Port Alfred and overlooks the peaceful marina. We are two minutes' drive from the centre of town where you have access to all modern amenities, and a one minute’s drive will get you to the nearest beach.

DIRECTIONS:

From East London
Enter the town and Beach Crescent is on the left directly opposite the Halyards Lodge & Spa, before you go down the hill to the river. About 100m on your right is No 8.

From Port Elizabeth
Enter the town on the R72 and continue through the traffic intersection (traffic lights just before the bridge) and proceed up the hill. Beach Crescent is at the top, on the right, directly opposite the Halyards Lodge & Spa. About 100m on your right is No 8.
