Petworth Place is a spacious, sunny Guest House offering excellent accommodation in Grahamstown, South Africa. This colonial- style house is set in an attractive, private garden - in a quiet residential neighbourhood, close to the city centre, schools and Rhodes University.

Petworth Place is owner- managed by Mary Birt, who has years of experience in the accommodation industry. Top quality service to guests is the priority in this establishment. Petworth Place is situated close to the city centre, schools and Rhodes University. The house is set in a lovely private garden with safe parking behind remote controlled gates.

ACCOMMODATION


Petworth Place is furnished in a contemporary, comfortable style. The bedrooms are spacious, light and sunny - each with its own bathroom. The bathrooms are all newly installed and most have both bath and shower - (full bathroom)

The seven elegant bedrooms include
a family suite of two bedrooms sharing a full *.bathroom
a romantic bridal suite, with its own balcony *.overlooking the garden, with lovely tree-filled views
a wheelchair accessible bedroom with a full bathroom, .*and internet access
a self-catering unit - twin bedroom, full bathroom and *kitchenette
single bed, twin bed and double bed bedrooms, all *.with own bathrooms

Each bedroom has television (SATV and ETV channels), wall safe and heating and fans. Top quality cotton bed linen, and luxurious towels are used in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Every effort is made to ensure the comfort of our guests.

BREAKFAST


Our delicious buffet and home-style cooked breakfast can be enjoyed in the attractive dining room, or on the terrace in good weather.

ADDITIONAL FACILITIES


Guests are invited to enjoy a chat and a drink in the lounge at the end of the day. The residents lounge is filled with comfortable seating, a desk and satellite television. There is a phone point in the lounge so that guests can access the internet. Internet access is available at very reasonable rates.

From High Street (centre of town) with Spur on left hand side and Cathedral in front :
Turn left at stop street at Cathedral into Hill Street
At end of Hill Street turn right around traffic island into African Street
Turn second left into Henry street
At end of Henry Street turn left at T-Junction into Florence Street
Petworth Place is on the left hand corner of Henry and Florence – entrance in Florence.
