DIRECTIONS:
From Port Elizabeth Airport
After you collect your hire-car and drive out, you will come to a STOP sign, where you will see, across the road and to your right, a low building with a jet-fighter mounted on the roof.
Turn RIGHT at this STOP sign and you will quickly come to a traffic circle where you must go LEFT, keeping the jet-fighter on your left.
Cross railway line.
At next traffic lights, TURN RIGHT (into HEUGH ROAD). Continue on this road until you reach a major intersection (a T-junction) with traffic lights and route signs indicating “M4…Grahamstown” (among other things) and TURN LEFT onto this route. Continue on this M4 route (freeway), following the “Grahamstown” signs, which will then lead you onto the “N2” route (still indicating “Grahamstown”). After a few kilometres, you will see an exit sign indicating “John Tallant Road” (or “John Tallantweg”) among other things).
Take this exit route and at the top of the ramp, TURN LEFT. At the first traffic lights, TURN RIGHT. At the next traffic lights, TURN LEFT.
Continue along this route for several kilometres, until you see the signs indicating “R75 Jansenville/Graaff-Reinet”. You will also see signs indicating “Uitenhage” and “Despatch”.
Stay on the R75 towards Jansenville/Graaff-Reinet (keeping Uitenhage on your left and Despatch on your right). After about another 50 kilometres, you will see a sign on your left, indicating ‘Kirkwood” pointing Right. IGNORE THIS SIGN and continue about 13-14 kilometres, to a second “Kirkwood” sign on your left. Here you will also see a separate sign indicating “Broadlands Country House” TURN RIGHT.
About 10 kilometres along this road, there is a second “Broadlands Country House” sign (again on your left), indicating a RIGHT TURN.
Turn here, onto a dirt road. After about 200 metres, this dirt road swings left, but you will see ahead of you our creamy-white gateposts and tarred road lined with palm trees, with our BROADLANDS sign. Follow this driveway, to the first house , which is Broadlands.
We will be waiting to welcome you… Please report to reception.
