Wilde Als Cottage stands apart as a spacious and refined countryside retreat, offering an exceptional farm stay experience for up to four guests. Positioned in its own quiet corner of the property, this cottage commands far-reaching views of the surrounding bushveld, best enjoyed from the generous stoep that wraps along its façade. Designed for those who value both comfort and character, the cottage combines rural charm with understated luxury.

Inside, guests are welcomed by two elegantly furnished bedrooms, each offering the flexibility of either king-size or twin bed configurations. Both rooms feature private en-suite bathrooms—one appointed with a deep bathtub for leisurely soaks, and the other with a sleek, invigorating shower. Cosy electric blankets and heaters provide warmth during the cooler months, while fine linens and plush towels ensure every night's rest is restorative.

The outdoor experience is every bit as inviting. Whether soaking in the farm-style hot tub beneath an open sky or rinsing off the day's adventures in the open-air shower, guests are encouraged to unwind and reconnect with nature. The private fire pit invites storytelling under the stars, and the built-in braai promises long, laughter-filled evenings over flame-grilled meals.

Highlights

There is a hot tub and fire-pit outside, which will make you want to return again and again. (Instructions on how to start the hot tub are provided inside the cottage).

Complimentary freshly baked bread, farm eggs, butter and milk on arrival. Wood is provided to begin with and thereafter can be purchased on site.

Pet Friendly

Pets are welcome and the large garden of your unit is fenced. Please remember to put your dog on a leash should you go for a walk on the farm.

Activities

There are a number of trail runs or mountain bike rides on the farm; keep an eye out for bushbuck, reedbuck, blesbuck, oribi and steenbok. We also have a rich bird life on the farm, with all three cranes present. There is a bird hide next to the biggest of the three dams. In the dams are bass.
