The place is spotlessly clean, Kate so hospitable, sumptuous breakfast, overall very good experience.

my fears about security in south africa and johannesburg in particular proved to be unfounded. i was met by bruce catherine's son standing at the arrivals hall with my name clearly displayed. he drove me straight to soweto and was a fund of information. the house is safe and the area totally safe. the short walk to the restaurant passes desmond tutu's house' is near nelson mandela's house and winnie's current houe. there is probably nowhere safer in south africa than this particular part of soweto. the people were friendly. Kate and her husband and staff were all kind and helpful. i used the local shebeen as my local pub and even at night felt totally secure. i would unresevedly recommend this gust houe and the surrounding area to anyone who might feel nervous (as I was) at staying in soweto. i am sure i will return.

the place is nice and the is good service, but I was served the same menu for three day. try and change the menu daily. and we didn't have dstv in our room.

Stayed overnight with my family, excellent welcome, place very tidy and homely. Good breakfast, excellent hostess. Will definitely come back next time in Johannesburg
