Tintswalo Scops Rest is a luxury bush villa reserved exclusively for private use, situated within the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, part of the renowned Greater Kruger region in South Africa. Designed to host up to eight guests, the villa is perfectly suited for families or small groups seeking seclusion, comfort, and a truly personal safari experience.

Exclusive Use Villa

Guests are attended to by a private butler and chef, ensuring every detail of their stay is thoughtfully managed. Two safari activities are arranged daily in a private game-viewing vehicle, and full-board hospitality includes a well-stocked minibar. The villa provides generous living spaces, a broad patio for outdoor relaxation, and a private swimming pool that opens onto uninterrupted views of the bush. Entirely solar-powered, the property combines modern sustainability with uncompromising comfort.

Accommodation comprises four en-suite bedrooms, two of which are larger suites featuring fireplaces, as well as a dedicated room for a private pilot or guide. An interleading children’s room can be arranged on request, and one of the suites is designed to be wheelchair-friendly.

Each bedroom opens onto its own patio and is equipped with air-conditioning, a minibar, and tea and coffee facilities. Beyond the private pool and patio, the property includes a raised viewing deck, an outdoor boma complete with a pizza oven, a fully equipped fitness centre, indulgent spa facilities, and a TV lounge with a projector screen for evening entertainment.

Activities On Site

The range of activities is designed to offer both adventure and cultural enrichment. Guests can enjoy twice-daily game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, enhanced with amenities such as binoculars, thermal imaging equipment for night drives, and sound safaris that capture the pulse of the bush. Guided bush walks provide a deeper connection with the land, while skilled Shangaan trackers bring stories of their culture and heritage to life.

Additional experiences include evenings of stargazing, engaging programs designed for children, and atmospheric dinners around the fire in the boma. Guests may also choose to enrich their stay with conservation-focused activities at an additional cost, such as rhino de-horning, or take to the skies with a scenic helicopter flight over the reserve.

The Reserve

Klaserie Private Nature Reserve offers an extraordinary wilderness of 9,000 hectares of exclusive traversing rights, with access to a total of 12,000 hectares across the reserve. The land boasts 20 kilometres of river frontage and a 70,000-square-metre dam that provides reliable sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and a wide array of bird species.

Situated in a low-risk malaria zone and secured by an electric perimeter fence, the villa combines the thrill of the wild with peace of mind. Guests may reach the property via a six-hour self-drive from Johannesburg, or by air to Hoedspruit, which is an hour’s flight from Johannesburg and three hours from Cape Town. Transfers from Hoedspruit Airport or direct arrival via private runway are also available.
