About The Walden House
Built in 1900, The Walden House is located against the backdrop of the majestic Table Mountain. This gracious Victorian home and garden suites, have been restored to its original splendor and refurbished with the elegant finishes.
The Walden House has a colonial style, with a touch of Africa, and an open ambience without clutter, with each piece of furniture selected with a purpose.
We cater to pay close attention to your needs. We are happy to help with planning your daily activities, a tour around the Cape, or help you hire a car. We offer a home away from home atmosphere.
Accommodation
Seven elegant en-suite rooms offer a unique and private setting. Rooms are decorated in a colonial style with white cotton bed linen and white painted wooden floors. Four of the rooms offer direct access to the beautiful garden.
Our large luxury suite has a fireplace, large Victorian bathroom with a separate shower and boasts direct access to the balcony with stunning mountain views.
All the bathrooms are luxurious with brass fixtures. Each room has heated towels rails, a flat screen TV, telephone, mini bar, air conditioning, wireless internet access, electronic safe, local wine selection and homemade biscuits.
Breakfast
Breakfast is always a treat at The Walden House. The in-house chef offers you wholesome colonial breakfast in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
