Self-Catering Accommodation

Skobbejak is a well appointed and welcoming holiday home situated in Bekbay, Paternoster, and is ideal for families or groups seeking comfort and proximity to the sea.

The house comfortably accommodates up to eight guests and features four tastefully furnished bedrooms with five bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are fitted with king size beds, while the remaining two offer queen size beds. Each bathroom is fitted with either a bath or a shower, and quality linen and towels are supplied for guest convenience.

The open plan kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with a fridge freezer, gas hob, oven, air fryer, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea and coffee making facilities. A dishwasher and washing machine are included to ensure a relaxed self catering stay.

The kitchen flows seamlessly into the dining area, which features an indoor braai and television, creating an inviting space for shared meals and entertaining. The lounge offers comfortable seating for relaxation, while additional amenities include air conditioning in selected rooms and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the home.

Several rooms, as well as the kitchen area, open onto a patio with outdoor seating, braai facilities, and a sparkling swimming pool, providing excellent indoor and outdoor living. Secure on site parking is available for guests.

Location & Attractions

Paternoster is one of the oldest fishing villages on South Africa’s West Coast and is known for its enduring charm and unspoilt character. The village lies approximately 15 km northwest of Vredenburg and about 145 km north of Cape Town, positioned near Cape Columbine between Saldanha Bay and St Helena Bay.

The area is celebrated for its breathtaking sunsets, seasonal whale and dolphin sightings, vibrant spring wildflowers, and an abundance of fresh crayfish and mussels. Life here moves at a gentler pace, offering peace, quiet, and the rare luxury of true rest. Entertainment is provided by the rhythm of the waves, the calls of seabirds, and on occasion, the distant sound of the foghorn, which locals would argue is more than enough.
