Full self-catering faciltiies - sleep 5. The open-plan interior consists of a main bedroom with 2 single beds, a built-in single bed, a chest of drawers and hanging space. The lounge which is separate from the bedroom but has no inter-leading door (only a curtain) and comprises of a built-in seating area which converts into 2 single beds, a dining table and 5 chairs. We also have a small wall mounted TV (SABC channels available but DStv only on request). Double glass doors open up onto the patio which includes an outside braai area and table and chairs. The kitchen leads off from the lounge; it is a fully equipped kitchen with a 2 plate stove and oven, microwave, fridge with a small freezer section, kettle, toaster and all the required cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery for 5 people.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
