Self-Catering Accommodation

Arranged across a collection of separate dwellings, Rainbow’s End offers the welcome mix of shared space and private retreat. The Stone Cottage provides a comfortable bedroom with a queen bed and a fireplace, along with a compact kitchenette fitted with a toaster, kettle, and bar fridge. The bathroom includes a shower, basin, and toilet, and guests can relax around the outdoor fire pit as the day winds down.

Flat 1 follows an open plan layout that brings together a lounge area, a queen bed, and a well equipped kitchenette with a fridge, toaster, and kettle. The bathroom includes a shower, basin, and freestanding bath, and the outdoor deck offers clear mountain views that lighten any mood. Flat 2 also features an open plan design with a lounge area, a queen bed, and an additional single mattress. Its kitchenette provides a kettle and fridge or freezer combination, and the bathroom is fitted with a shower, bath, and basin.

The Main House welcomes guests onto a wide stoep that holds a pizza oven, a generous dining table, comfortable seating, and a Kol Kol hot tub. Indoors, the open plan lounge includes a fireplace and an eight seater dining table. The kitchen is prepared for relaxed cooking and family meals, offering a fridge or freezer, kettle, toaster, Smeg oven, air fryer, coffee machine, Le Creuset ovenware, and a bar fridge. A dedicated scullery adds a washing machine, tumble dryer, ice machine, microwave, dishwasher, bar fridge, and sandwich maker.

A separate TV room is furnished with an L shaped leather couch, a television, and board games for quieter evenings. Bedroom One has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet. Bedroom Two includes a queen bed, an ensuite with a shower, bath, and basin, plus a small television, gas heater, and ceiling fan. The Main Bedroom offers a king bed, an ensuite with a bath, shower, and basin, a fireplace, a private deck overlooking the river, and a ceiling fan. A guest bathroom completes the layout.

The verandah is built for long gatherings, offering a built in braai, a sixteen seater dining table, and two Vetsak loungers. Outside, guests can make use of the slipway, a private jetty with seating, and an additional Kol Kol hot tub.

The property is powered by solar energy, and a caretaker named Charles is available on site. He assists with general cleaning on weekends and maintains the stoep and braai areas during the week. Additional cleaning services can be arranged by request, and pets may be allowed with prior agreement.

Guests can enjoy a riverfront lifestyle with the Kol Kol hot tub, braai areas, private jetty, slipway, and lawn with loungers, along with an outdoor dining area that is perfect for long summer evenings. Indoors, the slow combustion fireplace becomes the heart of winter stays, offering warmth, atmosphere, and the sort of comfort that encourages lingering. Even the indoor braai area, cleverly adapted from the back step, shows how the home is designed for real living, not just appearances.
