OuHout Self Catering Cottage offers accommodation on Springvale Farm, a working dairy farm which is also home to horses, pigs, cows and dogs. The cottage is close to wedding venues and private schools in the area, as well as all the Midlands Meander has to offer.

Ouhout Cottage holds the distinction of being the original dwelling on Springvale Farm and continues to offer a generous and inviting escape for up to six guests. Featuring three well-appointed bedrooms, each with its own private en-suite bathroom, the cottage is ideally suited for families or small groups seeking both comfort and privacy.

Thoughtfully arranged sleeping options, along with the warmth of electric blankets and heaters, ensure restful evenings, regardless of the season. After a day spent exploring the farm, the calm and comfort of these interiors provide the ideal setting to unwind and prepare for tomorrow’s adventures.

At the heart of the cottage lies a spacious open-plan living area that brings the rhythm of rural life indoors. A fully equipped kitchen stands ready for everything from home-cooked meals to leisurely feasts with friends. Pet Friendly

All well-socialised, well-behaved dogs are welcome but please keep them off the furniture and beds! They must be on a leash while walking on the farm.

Activities

There are a number of trail runs or mountain bike rides on the farm; keep an eye out for bushbuck, reedbuck, blesbuck, oribi and steenbok. We also have a rich bird life on the farm, with all three cranes present. There is a bird hide next to the biggest of the three dams. In the dams are bass.
