Located deep within the malaria-free Waterberg Biosphere, Buccara Waterberg Molapo Lodge provides a serene and private sanctuary for families or small groups in search of an upscale retreat in the bushveld. Surrounded by the sweeping beauty of the Waterberg Mountains, this exclusive-use lodge offers an immersive blend of comfort and untamed natural splendour.

Self-Catering Accommodation

Designed to accommodate up to 14 guests, the lodge features seven generously sized, air-conditioned bedrooms. Within the main house are two refined suites, one appointed with a king-size bed and a full en-suite bathroom comprising a bath, shower, basin, and toilet; the other with a queen-size bed and a similarly equipped en-suite.

The remaining five bedrooms are housed in separate chalets, each offering its own en-suite bathroom. These chalets feature a variety of sleeping arrangements, including double, queen, and twin beds, ideal for couples, families, or friends travelling together. High-quality linen and towels are provided for added comfort.

At the centre of the home lies a fully equipped kitchen, complete with a gas stove, fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, coffee machine, and dishwasher, ensuring that preparing meals is both convenient and enjoyable. A large central dining table invites guests to gather and share meals in a warm, convivial setting.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a spacious open-plan lounge fitted with plush seating, a television, and a built-in bar (unstocked). A second, more intimate lounge area features a wood-burning fireplace, perfect for relaxing on cooler evenings. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge.

Outdoor living is just as thoughtfully considered. Guests can unwind beside the swimming pool on sun loungers or enjoy evenings under the stars in the traditional open-air boma, complete with a fire pit, braai, and pizza oven, ideal for long, laughter-filled nights in the bush. Secure parking is available on site.

Molapo Safari is approximately a 4-hour drive from O R Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg. Please note the travelling time on the dirt road, from the Visgat R33 road to Molapo Safari, is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, 42 kilometres. We do suggest that you drive with a high-clearance vehicle (SUV or pickup truck), as this road is 'off the beaten path'.
