I stayed in Oak Cottage for 3 nights and loved it. Dan was an excellent host. When I had issues with the bedroom lights not switching off due to being damaged by load shedding, he came across immediately when I phoned him, made a temporary plan and then got it sorted the next morning. Oak Cottage is well equipped and private and has everything you need. I was very impressed that they have full DSTV! The venue is situated in a very quiet and safe area, has secure parking and beautiful gardens, and easy to find. I will definitely return when I next have to go to Jhb. The only thing was I was trying to get bank details to pay the balance of my account. I sent a message via this website's messaging platform to them, and also emailed them directly and never have received a response. However Dan quickly sorted me out when I asked him. He is a real asset, so hospitable and makes you feel very welcome.

A clean, cosy relaxing accomodation. Short stay but very hospitable kind staff. Thank you for your help and attention. Will definitely stay again when back in SA.

I was stressed and between apartment's, I was only intending to stay for 2 weeks. Five months later I was sad to leave and highly recommend this guesthouse for any duration. You will immediately feel at home in these relaxed surroundings, coupled with friendly accommodating staff & management who are always available. Full thumbs up to dear Magda and her team

Terrible service from Magda and team when items went missing at check-out. Very rude interactions via social media and extremely disappointing. South African guests are treated very differently to international which should not be the case at all! Having travelled extensively, this one isna definite no!

We stayed for a week. Wonderful extra touches. Clean and pretty. And both my toddlers got a teddy bear as a present. Magda is amazing. Thank you!
