Gwarrie Tree Lodge at Kleinrivier Mountain Escapes provides a private and immersive nature retreat within an expansive 3,000 hectare wilderness reserve, located approximately 70 km from Port Elizabeth and just north of Uitenhage. This peaceful hideaway is well suited to nature enthusiasts, couples, and small families who value an authentic escape into the unspoilt beauty of the Eastern Cape.
Self-Catering Accommodation
The lodge comfortably accommodates up to four guests and comprises two bedrooms and one shared bathroom. Each bedroom is fitted with a queen size bed, and the bathroom is equipped with a shower, basin, and toilet. An outdoor shower is also available for guests seeking a refreshing and adventurous experience. Fresh linen and towels are provided for added convenience.
The open plan living space features a fully equipped modern kitchen with a fridge freezer, gas stove, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea and coffee making facilities, complemented by a central six seater dining table. The adjoining lounge offers generous and comfortable seating, and large glass sliding doors open onto sweeping 180 degree views of the Karoo landscape.
Encircled by mountain scenery, indigenous plant life, and thriving wildlife, Gwarrie Tree Lodge offers an ideal balance of rest and outdoor exploration. Guests can relax on the covered patio furnished with outdoor seating and braai facilities, take a refreshing dip in the splash pool, and enjoy secure on site parking while soaking up the calm and solitude of this remarkable wilderness environment.
