About Calamari 9

Calamari 9 is a beachfront holiday apartment that combines comfort with convenience, located on the pristine shores of Ramsgate North. Guests can step directly from the verandah onto the sandy beach, only a short 30 m away, making it ideal for those who want to embrace the ocean at their doorstep.

Self Catering Accommodation

This spacious duplex accommodates up to 6 guests. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each furnished with a queen-size bed, while the downstairs lounge area features an additional sleeping space with a single bed and a pull-out bed beneath.

The main bedroom and lounge are equipped with air-conditioning, while the second bedroom is fitted with a ceiling fan, ensuring comfort throughout the year. Both bedrooms and the lounge offer uninterrupted sea views. The apartment includes two bathrooms: one en-suite with a bath, and the other fitted with a shower and washing machine, along with a separate guest toilet for added convenience.

Please note that air-conditioning operates on a prepaid meter, which guests are responsible for topping up if used.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and features a stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and thermal clothes dryer. A breakfast bar with stools provides a casual dining space. The lounge area offers ample seating for six, along with a flat-screen TV, premium Explora DStv, a DVD player, and unlimited fibre WiFi with Netflix access. A UPS system has been installed to ensure uninterrupted viewing and connectivity during loadshedding.

Sliding doors open from the lounge onto a patio furnished for outdoor relaxation. Guests can enjoy the built-in braai and the expansive grassed area, which is perfect for children to play. The unit includes a single garage, and for peace of mind, it is fitted with both an alarm system and a safe for valuables. While the apartment is not serviced, housekeeping can be arranged at an additional cost. All linen and towels are provided, but guests are kindly asked to bring their own beach towels.

Location & Attractions

The complex enjoys an excellent location, within easy walking distance of Ramsgate and Margate’s renowned Blue Flag beaches. Popular dining spots such as the Waffle House and Blue Lagoon are close by, while La Capannina and Just So Chinese restaurants are a mere 200 m from the property. For those who prefer to drive, both Ramsgate and Margate can be reached in just three minutes.
