Self-Catering Accommodation

Perched above a vast valley draped in fynbos and framed by panoramic views of the Outeniqua Mountains, Black Rhino can accommodate up to six guests. With a private chef to prepare all meals and a field guide to lead you on unforgettable adventures, your stay unfolds entirely at your chosen pace. The villa is fully serviced, creating a seamless blend of comfort and wild beauty, much like having a second home in the heart of nature.

This tranquil setting is ideal for those who value connection and seclusion. The only interruptions come in the form of wildlife gracefully wandering across the valley below. As evening approaches, the villa becomes the perfect stage for breathtaking sunsets, where the sky shifts from golden hues to deep twilight, revealing the magic of Africa’s night sky.

Your stay includes luxury accommodation, the services of a private field guide with a dedicated vehicle, and the expertise of a private chef. All meals and beverages are provided, including spirits, liqueurs, and soft drinks, with the exception of French champagne and premium wines. Guests can enjoy a specialty coffee maker, guided fynbos walks, and an engaging Junior Ranger programme for children complete with a custom activity book. Modern conveniences such as Wi-Fi and DSTV are also available.

Booking Information

The package includes all meals and drinks, except for French champagne and premium wines, and is offered exclusively on a Full Board basis. Guests can expect breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two daily game drives. Please note that spa treatments are not included in the package.

Location & Attractions

Gondwana is perfectly located within the malaria-free Garden Route, just four and a half hours from Cape Town by road and a thirty-minute coastal drive from George Domestic Airport. The historic town of Mossel Bay is only twenty minutes away, where visitors can experience the thrill of the world’s longest zipline over the ocean or explore the Diaz Museum.

Pinnacle Point Golf Estate is situated twenty-seven minutes from the reserve, offering not only a world-class golf course but also access to the renowned cliff caves. These excavations revealed the world’s oldest known site of human occupation, with artefacts dating back between 170,000 and 40,000 years, providing a rare glimpse into the lives of Middle Stone Age people.
