About Brothers Brewery

Boksburg’s Brothers Brewery is about more than the crisp, clean finish of the perfect craft beer. It was established by a group of lifelong friends that have found a sense of brotherhood and have infused that loyalty and love into the brewing of these excellent South African craft beers. But, still, to craft these quality beers took insight, great ingredients, experimentation, time and patience.

Today, this brewery in Boksburg, Johannesburg, prides itself on the sense of camaraderie that can be savoured in every sip. And, with each sip, those enjoying the beers become part of this brotherly bond, extending the family that much further.

The beers are true craft beers because they are made, kegged and bottled by hand. The brewers built the brewery themselves, retaining strict control of every aspect of their passion. Each batch is monitored and tweaked to ensure that it is every bit as special and unique as the individuals that craft and, more importantly, enjoy them.

The beers being produced at Brothers Brewery include

The Golden Ale (ABV 5%)
A unique craft beer that is a fusion of flavours and inspirations. The hops are both local and imported from North and South America, and the yeast comes from Europe. The result is a deep golden colour, a thick creamy head, and a wonderfully robust flavour.

The Blonde Ale (ABV 4.6%)
This cold-fermented beer is light and inspired by the traditional American pale ales. Malts and hops from South Africa are combined with European malts and German Kolsch yeast to create a delicious beer with a crisp finish.

The mobile bar is available for hire for a new twist on making craft beers available at your wedding, corporate function, or beer festival.

Boksburg is just over an hour from Sandton, and about 30 minutes from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport.
