Itinerary

  1. DAY 1: Upington to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (South Africa)

    Upington - Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park / Kgalagadi Lodge
    Check in at Twee Rivieren Gate. Depart on a 02-hr afternoon game drive. The Twee Rivieren area is known for lion, leopard, cheetah and meerkat sightings.
    Exit the park before the gates close and proceed to accommodation 05 km outside the park.
    Dinner in the restaurant.

    OVERNIGHT: Kgalagadi Lodge

  2. DAY 2: Kgalagadi Lodge to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (South Africa)

    Kgalagadi Trans Frontier Park
    Early morning coffee/tea and light breakfast at chalet.
    Check out of accommodation. Enter the park when the gates open and depart on a morning game drive. The route will be determined by reported sightings and game migration.
    Picnic brunch at a picnic area.
    Continue on the game drive to Twee Rivieren. Check in at accommodation. Time at leisure.
    Afternoon game drive on route of choice until gates close.
    Optional 3 hr sunset drive with Sanparks on open game drive vehicle at own cost.

    OVERNIGHT: Twee Rivieren Rest Camp

  3. DAY 3: Twee Rivieren Rest Camp to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (South Africa)

    Kgalagadi Trans Frontier Park
    Early morning coffee/tea and light breakfast at chalet.
    Game drive until late noon.
    Picnic brunch at a picnic area on route.
    Exit the park at Twee Rivieren Gate and depart to Molopo Kalahari Lodge 60 Km south of Twee Rivieren. The Molopo Lodge is situated on the banks of the dry Molopo River and is a real oasis in the desert.
    En route stop at the last indigenous San tribe in South Africa, the Khomani. Today these earliest residents of the Kalahari, living here for 40 000 years, consist of only 400 people and are resident in an area between 40 and 70 km south of Twee Rivieren. Clients will have the opportunity to view and purchase their handcraft at one of the roadside stalls. (The presence of the San at the roadside stalls can’t be guaranteed.)
