Itinerary

  1. DAY 1: Johannesburg to Hazyview

Meet your guide at OR Tambo International in Johannesburg and drive through some of the most scenic areas in South Africa on the way to our overnight accommodation which is tucked away in the heart of the picturesque Sabie Valley on the banks of the Sabie River. We check in, drop our bags and then head off for something very special…

We drive for 15 minutes to an elephant sanctuary… Witness their intelligence, compassionate nature and the sheer delight when interacting with their human counterparts. The elephant interaction offers you the opportunity to feel their constantly curious trunks, touch their rough skin, exchange trunk greetings and offer tasty treats, while learning about their behaviour and history from the elephant handlers. We then go for a walk with these amazing creatures to give you an opportunity to experience how big these animals really are!

From here, we head back to our lodge and enjoy dinner at a local eatery

    OVERNIGHT: Kruger Park Lodge

  2. DAY 2: Hazyview to Kruger National Park

Up early, we head off 10 minutes down the road to the world renowned Kruger National Park in our own, private open safari vehicle!

We spend the next two nights at one of the southern camps sleeping in a rustic, traditional guest house with en-suite bathrooms, embarking on early morning and late afternoon excursions. The south of the park is relatively wet and well-vegetated, and is the best region of the park for white rhino. Two large rivers dominate the area, the Sabie and Crocodile Rivers, and these attract large numbers of game and in turn predators such as lion and leopard. We’ll spend our time driving through the park, searching for these and other exciting species. In the mornings we will stop after a few hours for coffee and a snack to allow us time to make the most of the early mornings. Brunches, lunches and dinners will be enjoyed at our guest house prepared for us by our own, private chef so all dietary requirements can be catered for.

    OVERNIGHT: Southern Kruger rest camp

  3. DAY 4: Southern Kruger Park to Central Kruger Park

After a relaxed breakfast we head off to the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, a 148 000 acre (231 mi²) private conservancy that is open to Kruger National Park, allowing animals to roam freely. We’ll check into our exclusively private game lodge in time for lunch and have time to relax before our first afternoon safari, lead by myself or an experienced field guide and tracker. The lodge is exclusive to just you and your friends, partner or family… Completely private, completely unique to Moriti Private Safaris

Over and above the wonderful animals we are likely to see here, a true highlight will be observing how we track the big cats on open safari vehicles and on foot

Superb cuisine will be a highlight of the safari, prepared by our private chef, and all together this will add up to a truly awesome experience!

    OVERNIGHT: Klaserie Camps

    TOUR ENDS

  4. DAY 7: Central Kruger Park to Airport of choice

After a last morning safari we will leave the reserve and head back to the airport in time for departures.
