About the Randfontein Show

The Randfontein Show promises to be another extravaganza of non-stop fun, moreish food, and top-notch entertainment. Thanks to the variety of things to do and see here, it makes for a fabulous day out for the whole family; young and old(er). This is the 33rd Randfontein Show to be held, which means that some of the visitors have been experiencing the fun every year of their life.

This is the biggest business- and socially-orientated event in the West Rand, and attracts hordes of locals and tourists to be part of the awesome vibe. As an added bonus, excellent prices are part of the show’s deal.

The show is held at Greenhills Stadium in Randfontein. Plenty of live entertainment is on offer to make sure that there is always a great vibe. Some of the entertainment highlights include:

• A live outside radio broadcast with RSG’s Brekfis met Derrich. Guest artists Fatman and Caroline Grace will also be part of this show.
• KykNet’s Jukebox Roadshow on Sunday, featuring Pieter Koen, Dirk van der Westhuizen, Liezel Pieters, Leah, Sorina (Flooze), Refentse, Irene-Louise van Wyk and Lee Scott.
• The Women’s World Day of Prayer. This year, Vanessa Goosen will be a guest speaker, telling the intense story of her 16 years in a Thai prison after being accused of smuggling drugs.
• Performances by Theuns Jordaan, Robbie Wessels, Francois van Coke, Ricus Nel, Ampie, Appel, Roan Ash, Jason Bradley, and Lance James (amongst many others).
• Street musicians.

Of course, this show is about more than excellent music. There will be dog shows, fire shows, puppet shows, wrestling (both amateur and professional), go-carts, an inflatable rocket, bench press, strongman demonstrations, bungee bounce, a mini circus, and loads of stalls for the more shopping-inclined.

Of course, all of this excitement is bound to work up an appetite, and visitors to the Randfontein Show are assured of plenty of variety in the food department. There will be loads of dishes showcasing local and international cuisine as well as refreshing beers and lovely South African wines on offer.

The early bird tickets offer a 25% discount. All of the information regarding the tickets and programmes can be found on the website (www.randfonteinshow.co.za). Follow Randfontein Show on social media for regular updates.
