The house is furnished in classic modern style, but has the charm of the original Oregon pine floors and wooden teak shutters, giving it a character of its own. There is a small pretty garden and a plunge pool, with a large outdoor table and chairs and a Weber braai.
Camps Bay is one of Cape Towns most trendy suburbs, offering world-class restaurants and bars, and beautiful white sandy beaches.

DIRECTIONS:
FromCape Town International airport
Follow the signs to the N2, and take the N2 towards Cape Town. After about 3-4 Km, you come off the N2, under a bridge, and you will see Groote Schuur Hospital on your right. At this point the road divides into De Waal Drive (the two left lanes), and Eastern Boulevard (the three rightmost lanes). Either of these routes will take you into Cape Town.
Eastern Boulevard
(a) If you take Eastern Boulevard, when you get near central Cape Town, take the Strand Street off-ramp, and then go straight (past two sets of traffic lights) until you get to the lights at Adderley Street. Turn left into Adderley Street, and drive up Adderley Street (towards Table Mountain). At the end of Adderley Street (where the Botanical Gardens begin), the road makes a right turn into Wale Street. Drive up Wale Street (past traffic lights at Queen Victoria, Long, Loop and Bree Streets), until you get to the traffic light at Buitengracht Street. Turn left into Buitengracht Street, and keep going straight (past a traffic light at Buitencingle Street). Buitengracht Street eventually leads into Kloof Nek Road, which climbs up towards the mountain.
(b) Follow Kloof Nek Road right to the top, where it either branches to the left (to the Cableway), the right (Clifton or Lions Head) or continues straight over towards Camps Bay (that's the way to go). You are now in Camps Bay Drive. Turn right into Geneva Drive, which is the second turning to the right after the top of Kloof Nek. Continue down Geneva Drive, which has quite a few bends. At the bottom of Geneva Drive there is a stop sign, where it meets Camps Bay Drive again. After the stop sign, continue down, and take the next road to the right, which is The Drive. About a hundred metres along The Drive, there is an intersection and you will see a double storey house with a white wall around it on the corner. That's No. 27 The Drive, which is The Bayleaf.
De Waal Drive
If you take De Waal Drive, take the Jutland Avenue off-ramp (it probably says Gardens or Vredehoek, and is just before a bridge over the road), and then follow this road (past one set of traffic lights) until you get to the traffic lights at Upper Orange Street (you will see a big Engen garage on your right, but you need to be in the left lane). Turn left into Upper Orange Street, and continue up until Camp Street (which I think is the first turning to the right). Turn right into Camp Street, and carry on straight along Camp Street. There are traffic lights at Hof Street and Kloof Street, but carry on straight until you eventually reach a stop sign at Kloofnek Road. Turn left into Kloofnek Road, and proceed over Kloof Nek as in paragraph (b) above.
Remember
If you do get lost, the easiest way to get back on track is to follow signs that indicate the way to the Cableway. This will get you to the top of Kloof Nek Road, and then you just follow the way to Camps Bay as above.
