DESCRIPTION:
If you are looking for peace and tranquillity, for an out-of-the-way base not too far from the city or for space to catch up with yourself; if you are in search of an idyllic beach break, this secluded Beach House will be able to oblige. After all, as one satisfied guest noted, he had mistaken it for heaven ...
Isolated by majestic mountains, Kommetjie is delightfully rural and unspoiled. Although being conveniently close to Cape Town, the atmosphere of Kommetjie, even in peak season when holiday resorts are bustling, is one of peaceful isolation. Sunset Beach House provides a free and happy atmosphere, where sandy foot prints on the floor are welcome reminders that guests are at home.
Sunset Beach House is the ultimate in luxury and comfort. The dunes, the beach, the ocean and the sky - right on your doorstep. With only 5 rooms our service is completely personal. The rooms are individually appointed and fully serviced. Accommodation includes a full buffet breakfast.
ACCOMMODATION
All our rooms are beach facing with double doors opening on to the endemic fynbos garden and dunes. The pool is finished in natural rock, two outside hot/cold showers. Secure, very safe and tranquil.
Each room offers:
En-suite bathroom, Environmental Control (hot and cold air-conditioning); Satellite TV; Telephone; Courtesy Fridge and Safe.
HONEYMOON SUITE
Not just for newly weds - the honeymoon suite is a rhapsody in white lace and cotton. It offers panoramic views of sea and mountains.
DINING
You'll enjoy our delicious breakfast buffet and in the evening dine 'at home' on a varied selection of specialities complimented by one of our renowned South African wines. The emphasis of our menu is one of freshness, flavour and local availability. Our limited selection of wines are carefully selected to ensure that your experience is the best of what the Cape Wine lands offers.
Ingmar, the In-house chef, will cater to your menu needs and requirements and will spoil you with the best in Cape Cuisine. The Beach House Dinning Room now not only offers a set menu but you are free to ask the chefs for your favourite meal

DIRECTIONS:
From the main exit from Cape Town International Airport, follow the signs to the N2. Continue along the N2, until close to the Mountain and past a large intersection called Liesbeek Parkway. About 1 km further turn off to the left where the sign says "Muizenburg M3". This highway will take you past Table Mountain and the University, then through Bishop's Court and eventually past the Constantia Wine lands. Where the M3 ends at T-intersection, turn right. About 1 km further Turn Left onto "Ou Kaapse Weg" M64. "Die Ou Kaapse Weg" takes one over the Silvermine Mountains and down to the Noordhoek Valley. Once over the mountain it becomes the M65. Continue with the M65 past Sun Valley and at the second set of Traffic Lights, Turn Right to Kommetjie. Continue along M65 past Imhoff's Gift on right and then Ocean View & Imhoff's Farm on Left.
As one travels along the M65 you pass Ocean View on the left and then Imhoff's Farm on the right. Kommetjie is about 1.2 km further. Wireless Road is the first Turn Off to the Right in Kommetjie. Two signs point down it "Imhoff Caravan Park" and "Pelican Place". There is a large transformer just before the turn-off which somewhat obscures it. Sunset Beach is just before the Turn at the end of Wireless Road.
