The attractive modern kitchen has view windows (overlooking rose garden) and is fully equipped, including laundry facilities. The large, elegantly furnished lounge / dining room gives access to a north facing covered patio Adjacent private garden with dedicated BBQ (wood supplied) These rooms are all on one level, and hence accessible for wheelchair. The second large bedroom, downstairs, has a TV with video /DVD player Television in the lounge has option of DSTV. Access to broadband wireless connection if required (please advise) Well insulated and cool in summer . Underfloor heating throughout. Guests have full use of swimming pool and access to the larger garden. DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town International Airport From the Cape Town airport, take the N2 towards Cape Town. Approaching the mountain, keep in the left hand lane and take the left feed-off onto the M3, heading towards Muizenberg. At the first set of traffic lights, (intersection of Paradise Rd and Rhodes Ave) turn right into Rhodes Ave, which will lead you past Kirstenbosch Gardens (on right ) to a T junction where you turn right, continuing along Rhodes Drive towards Constantia Nek, (mountain is on your right ). Before reaching Constantia Nek, turn left into Southern Cross Drive (well indicated), then first left into Dawn Ave. Southdown Cottage is located at no 4 Dawn Ave, (Southdown), the second property on your right. |
